4 Operasyon / Operation (KİM, NASIL / WHO, HOW) Event will be conducted by EMT, member of ISMP (International Society of Meeting Planners) and Hakan Türkkuşu will be POC (Point of Contact) The event are going to be organized by EMT (Event Management Team, Inc), member of ISMP (International Society of Meeting Planners) and are going to be supported by the sister company STH (ST-Hospitality Travel), member of TÜRSAB (The Turkish Travel Agencies Associaton) with A-5608 registration log. All data & registration process of this event will conducted and monitored by software developer company MiliMetre of the same group. The entire responsibility of this organization and its execution are undertaken by Hakan Türkkuşu (MR). 8 ATTRACTION Historical site (Sultanahmet District) Before the Sultanahmet Square, all guests will see Dolmabahçe Palace which was built in 19 th Century and used as the last residence of the Sultans. Continue driving along the Bosphorus and approach the Golden Horn shores where we enjoy the breathtaking view of blend of minarets, domes, towers and hills. As we have crossed the new Galata Bridge, we will see Sirkeci Train Station which witnessed the arrival of Orient Express and its passengers over the years. Reaching the Square, first stop will be the Blue Mosque from 16 th Century, which is one of the most famous (with six minarets) and popular (with tiles) mosque in all around the world. During the Byzantine Era there was a hippodrome near the Blue Mosque with a capacity of 100 thousand people. In the courtyard of the Blue Mosque we can also view the Museum of Saint (Hagia) Sophia which was originally built as a church and then converted into a mosque before it became a museum in 20 th Century. After the visit, we will continue to tour the Hippodrome of the Roman and Byzantines Constantinople. Here, not only four horsed chariots raced, it was also the center of the social life of the Byzantines. You will also see the oldest monument of the city, which was erected in Karnack Temple by Pharaoh Thutmose II and transported to İstanbul in 390 during the reign of Theodosius. The Saint Sophia is located just between the Topkapı Palace and the Blue Mosque in the Sultanahmet District of İstanbul. The church was built around 530 AD by the Emperor Justinian. The layout and decoration is typical of a church of the Byzantine period. Today Saint Sophia is neither a church nor a mosque but a museum! Saint Sophia was restored several times because of damage caused by a series of earthquakes. The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) just in front of Saint Sophia, was built in the early 17 th Century. It is distinguished by six slender minarets and walls covered with amazing blue İznik ceramic tiles. In 1609, Sultan Ahmet wanted to build a mosque bigger, more majestic and more beautiful than the Saint Sophia, and he did indeed build a mosque that you will be the one to judge which one is more impressive... The Topkapı Palace was the official residence of the Sultans until the end of the century. After the conquest of the city in 1453, Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, built this gorgeous palace. The Topkapı Palace is quite unlike its western counterparts and today serves as a large museum with several exhibition galleries. Harem at Topkapı Palace is full of mystery and stories... It is open to the public so you can see how the Sultan's wife, concubines and mother lived. The Basilica Cistern was built by Justinian in the 6 th Century. It is 70 meters wide and 140 meters long, with a capacity of 80 tons of water. The cistern is supported by 336 differently illumuinated beautiful columns, two of which are carved with the head of Medusa on the plinth and visitors can watch fishes swimming in the water. 9 ATTRACTION Grand Bazaar, world s oldest mall Grand Bazaar is world's first, was built in 1461 under the rule of Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror and biggest shopping mall with approximately 4400 shops in vast labyrinth of over 60 streets. That visit will be an ultimate opportunity for window shopping or buying some gifts as well as jewelry and carpets especially in Bedesten Quarter. This occasion can be combined with Treasure Hunt edutainment game and/or enriched with Sultanahmet Tour.
