3 3. What was your most interesting/intense experience during the conference in Marseille? With great esteem and admiration to share a week with many very high professional artists and silkprinters in a peer 2 peer learning experience with so much joy, and tender loving care. All workshops farklı serigrafi çalışmaları the explanations of the others learners Silkprint workshop and working together to print book concert Konferans konularından'kentsel Dönüşüm' konusu ele alındığında Avusturya grubunun açıklamaları ilgimi çekmiştir. 20 yıl öncesinde Viyana (Wien) da yerel yönetimin kentsel dönüşüm çalışması uygulama ve yöntemlerinin farklı yaklaşımı ilgimi çekmiştir. Amacına uygun, insani değerler ölçüsü içerisinde ekonomik rant ve ötekileştirmeden kentsel yaşam alanlarının kazanılması beni etkilemiştir. 4 4. How did you prepare in advance in your homecountry for the artbook? We selected very many keywords from the Projectkoncept: Illiterate -how to know-how to learn- and text them on cardboard and decorated the projectvenue. The blackboards outside we texted with keywords too. Visitors and friend added slogans and tagggs. We organized a drawingworkshop and send pics to Le Dernier Cri. There wasn't enough information about it. No dialog. I used the topic theme: Illiterate and to visual ideas, I associated witch I did different drawings I read the brief and made a drawing I based on the idea of the encyclopedia britanica and how their views become outdated and force the new writers to re-learn history constantly. All the members of our staff were involved in preparing the drawing for the artwork. Please tell us about your learning-experiences during the preparatory work: To see in modern life,the list of what I am Illiterate in is long, and a life long learning commitment helps- -Jeder Mensch ein Analphabet - sounds much heavier then Everybody is an Illiterate. We desided we make and wear buttons and see what happens.we could see in reactions, Analphabet is really stigmatising and shocking. I was talking to several artists, did research on youtube and the internet. Describe your theme and your contribution to the artbook: My thesis "Everybody is an Illiterate" is i a close analogy to Joseph Beuys who reduced his highly complex thinking into a simple and essential proposition "Jeder Mensch ein Künstler " The future is the sculpture we all work on together. I wrote for the artbook my thesis in german and also my very first textscript. Beside this I was helping with Q&A to some partners, and communication for Pakitos Plan to print a common artbook with learners from all partners. --- dealing in How to know how to learn-with emotions, feelings, communication, reasons to keep on learning- - this is a life long learning The enciclopedia as axis of knowledge and how we should approach that critically farklı yetenek ve bakış açıları For the artbook we prepared three themes. On the header of each page, you can find janus faces. These faces represent the staff, teachers and learners of our school. We choosed janus, as the god of beginnings and transitions, of movement and change. His double nature symbolizes here the variety of communication. No one communicates the same way with different persons. Theme 1) Our school, an adult education center. Here presented as a typical coloring page. Coloring books as a typical method of giving children a first understanding of artwork. And the VHS Hietzing as a place where active learners bring color, through their activity they make learning successful. Theme 2) Character forest: we can only see part of reality, never the whole. Theme 3) 2 of our learners, 70 years old and both living in a geriatric center for Alzheimer patients, paint churches since years. They will soon have an exhibition in our school. How peoples contact with one another to learning? 8 8. What can you tell us about your learning-experiences during the printing process in Marseille? I was observing and writing my project journal and focussing on the interaction of the huge group of particpants from seven institutions, 7 countries. Pakito was really strict o everyone respecting to be on time, to have clear lunchtime and finish work on time, dicpline was part of the learning. Learning how a book gets developed, how the works with the layers of colours gets planned and how surprising it is to see the result. I learned nothing. I had the chance to get to do all process of colour silkpriting method, it i fascinating to lean. I learned from Pakito's production modes and I also learned about communication, or lack of communication, and a bit about madness. çok şey öğrendim serigrafi hakkında benim için yararlı oldu I highly enjoyed the concentrated atmosphere, the possibility to give something a go. Understanding and apply the technique has made me very happy. 9 9. Feedback to Pakito Bolino teaching and hosting the workshop week: Pakito Bollino is very heartful,generous, tolerant artist, teacher and silkprint expert. The fact that he opend his studio for a whole week to all of us parnters is such a great gift, most partners really appreciated this great chance. Thank You so much dear Pakito for Your vision of letting us all learn to draw on our themes of the project and produce with him at Le Dernier Cri a common outcome, have a great time together in teambuildung and experience his day to day life in Mars I had to look for my own for hosting. 10 10. Please tell us about your learning-experiences during the mask-workshop: The mask workshop was such a great gift, a very special chance. My part was to contribute the shopping list and was really surprised what the outcomes with such very very simple materials was, every caboodle and acrouchement found in Le Dernier Cri was good to add and used for these incredible masks -- Thank You so much for the mask workshop, doing a paper cat mask I had a great joy and learning, I used my catmask for my performance at Le embobineuse, You helped me a lot, I would love so much to learn more from You. I saw no purpose on it çok keyifli ve eğlenceliydi iyi bir deneyim oldu As I am not an artist it always takes time for me to open up. I learned about different new techniques to built masks. Mask workshop was a collaborative work process. I chose the appropriate techniques because of the our limited time. I think, I teach and I learn. Please tell us how you experienced the social interaction during the five workshop-days: Most of participants communicated with each and everyone with great interest to coalesce in a very beautiful way. The luchtimes, the aftershowtrink with Pakito outside at La Friche Table have been a growing together in the group. new friendships arised, a workshopweek is so much more than to draw and print. Some things went worse between several people. We all have been very friendly with each other and the atmosphare was very great, and we had really very good interaction and precious communication. during the worksprozess we had very high concentration in the leasure time we had very nice excursions together and lots of fun It wasn't great but I managed to communicate with the czechs and slovaks. There are a lot of inner problems in the group and that poisons in a way all social interaction. çok mükemmeldi çok keyif aldım ve farklı ülkelerden insanlarla çalışmak güzeldi During the workshop days, we had a lot of good talks and discussions on learnig, art and life in general. I loved the cooperative atmosphere during the printing process, although not everyone took an active part. Bunun nedeni ise yabancı dil bilmememden kaynaklanmaktadır. Uluslararası çalıştaylarda yer aldım ancak resim yapma bireysel olduğundan kendimle ve sanatımla sorunlarımı çözebiliyorum, sosyal ilişkilerde her zaman karşıma çıkan dil sorunumu çözmem gerektiğine inanıyorum. olumluydu

13 13. The artbook, please give a statement: I like the artbook very much, still I think we could have done better, if we had send all the artwork on time in advance as Pakito had proposed in London. In the artbook are very unique statements on "Illiteracy "- How to kow how to learn " interpreted by many of us in a very special way. I am very happy to have this Artbook, we will defenitly do an exhibtion and show it to the public in Berlin at PremArts. What should I do with that? The artbook Illiterate from all of us is very mulitfasted, I love the manifold style, I would love to have a script in there - to see what the themes of each partner was and the names of the artists- I like it a lot, and I am very pleased with it I enjoyed it so much, I was really really feeling priveleged I could attend this incredible workshop It should have been more formal. Drawings are OK if they have a purpose and I think some did not, also there should have been more text, more insight on the title and brief of the workshop as a whole. Your best leisure time experience: Going with our turkish, swiss, german, french friends all the way walk the city of Marseille,like a guided tour to the Gallery vernissage of Jean Pierre Naudau, spending the eve taking about ojectiv hermeneutic in reading art- chilling and eating and chatting. The Dinners we cooked together with the Austrians, Turksish,swiss, germans and french and not beeing allowed to speak one word of german. Some walk through the city. to take a shuttle tour to the mexician church on the hill, pakito had suggested and it was really an intense experience Oh many have been great, the visit of the small church on the hill, with the mexican arts was amazing, the walk all the city with Pakito was so funny and great to hear and see his Mars. The parc visits and the port, and the great Dinner with the Austrians, Turkish friends at Pakitos home Meeting the locals around La Freiche Besides strawling through the street I highly enjoyed the boat trip to the islands. 15 15. Feedback, ideas and proposals for the coordinator Margita Weiler in view of the next meeting/s: It was very very great to have the assistance all the way trough. More practical workshops to bring us together and find a way to take the fear away from those partners wo do not involve into new learning experience, cause this is what the project is about: to learn something new of what we are illiterate in. Get everyone involved into learning to make the media product, learn about webcommunication and text/foto documentation work-lets work together -all of us -- I felt very cotent the way the workshop ad this whole week was organized, everything was arranged perfecty for me was organized, thank You very much would love to join again in practical workshops, the days have been intense, like a fulltime job. Yes practical workshops are such a learning experience when we are in a mulitcultural group, Margita was taking care so well, so I say thanks a million and I enjoyed that everything was organized for me so very very well. Try to have a more profesional brief from the beginning, try to be more organized, try to treat adults as adults (i.e. engaging in interesting conversation and activities rather than providing what I percieved as random entretainment and pointless discussions that didn't follow a real puspose or agenda), try to separate her personal feelings and issues with members of the team from her interactions with learners and outside people. bence iyi bir koordinatör ve iyi fikirlere sahip I would love to have an agenda with serious suggestions, that is not changing promptly. margita bu konuda başarılı bir yönetici tekrarlerının devam edilmesi agenda planes should be printed and give to all people from the beginning on There are some diffrent ideas and expectation from some partners and it makes problems some other partners. To make an Artbook between 9 partners is a challenge and was a really not easy to understand why. O of our partners invites, we should respect and cooperate to its best- most of us did-and had a wonderful great time and a favorable learning by doing plus a proud result: the 32 pages artbook. Give examples for new impulses for yourself and/or your organisation concerning the European dimension: To make an Artbook between 9 partners- is a challenge and was a real -- To share an intensive with a multicultural group, from so many countriestime with new impressions of this so multutcultural city of Marseille, the suburbs, insprire me to make new european artworks with many new themes It is allready a European great Dimension that many of us who could not organize ourself for this meetings, and would also not have the budget to do so, can have the chance to meet in such a great situation. What a great idea of Pakito to invite for a workshopweek in his studio, I am so thankful, I love Europe! I am european! I don't know what you mean by 'impulses', but I did get a different picture of Europe from this workshop. Its messy and complicated, a lot of languages, identities and idiosyncrasies to deal with. Its both exhausting and interesting.
