9 Takdim İslam kültürünün ve Anadolu topraklarının yetiştirdiği en büyük değerlerden biri de hiç şüphesiz etkisi ve eserleri yüzyıllardır insanlara yol gösteren Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi'dir. O hem büyük bir mutasavvıf, hem büyük bir alim, hem de büyük bir aşk ehlidir. Btıgünkü manevi altyapımızın en önemli mimarlarından biridir, bir irşad edicidir. Onun tüm yaşamını özetleyen ilke ise, değerli sanatçı Ali Kocamaz'ın bu eserine isim olarak verdiği şu sözcüklerdir: "Hamdım, piştim, yandım." Geçmişten günümüze "ilahi aşk" temelli felsefesiyle nice eserler verip müritler yetiştiren Hz. Mevlana yaşama, insana sonsuz bir hoşgörü ile bakarak, hep "aşkı, iyiliği, Allah'a kul olmayı ve sabrı" vurgulamıştır. Ölüm gününü yeniden doğuş günü olarak kabul eden Hz. Mevlana, Hakk'a yürüyüşünü kendi tabiriyle Şeb-i Ams dediği 'yar ile kavuşma, düğün' olarak görmüştür. Tüm insanlığın her dönem ihtiyaç duyduğu evrensel ilkeleri, şiirleriyle kalıcı kılan Hz. Mevlana ve ondan esinlenen Mevlevl'lik, bu nedenle sadece ülkemizde değil, uluslararası düzeyde de büyük ilgi görmüştür. Bu kapsamda İngiliz oryantalist A.J. Arberry Mevlana'yı dünyanın en büyük şairi olarak nitelendirirken R.A. Nicholson da 30 yıl çalışarak "Mesnevi"yi İngilizceye çevirmiştir. Yine hepinizin bildiği gibi UNESCO da doğumunun 800. yılı sebebiyle 2007 yılını' Mevlana'yı Anma Yılı' olarak ilan etmişti. İşte bu denli zamanlar üstü bir etkiye sahip olan Mevlana hazretlerinin fikirlerinin yaygınlaşması, düşüncelerinin farklı iletim araçlarıyla ifade edilmesi son derece önemlidir. Hz. Mevlana'ya ilişkin en yeni çalışmalardan biri de Sayın Ali Kocamaz'ın hazırladığı karikatür kitabıdır. Sayın Kocamaz, Hz. Mevlana'nın fikirlerini yazıyla, sözle, müzikle, sema ile aniatmayı denemiyor. Daha zor bir işi seçerek, O'nun fikirlerini çizgiye döküyor. Büyük gönül insanı Yunus Emre'nin dediği gibi, Hz. Mevlana'nın anlattıklarını, fikirlerini "ete kemiğe büründürerek" bizlere sunuyor. Elbette büyük düşünürün tasavvufi görüşleri hakkında fikir sahibi olmak, ne demek istediğini anlayabilmek ve somutlaştırmak hiç de kolay değildir. Ama Sayın Kocamaz'ın bu zorlu görevi, gönlüyle kolaylaştırdığını ve başarıyla yerine getirdiğini, Mesnevi'ye farklı ve yeni bir tat getirdiğini söyleyebilirim. 10 Introduction Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi is one of the greatest figures to arise from Islaınic culture and the land of Anatolia and is without a doubt a ınan whose writings and influence have guided people for centuries. He is a great ınystic, a great intellectual and an expert on the subject of love. He is a moral guide and one of the most iınportant architects Turkey's spiritual heritage. The principle that suınınarizes his whole life is this stateınent that inspired the title of this book by Ali Kocaman: "I was raw. I got cooked. I bumed." Rumi wrote ınany books about his philosophy of "divine love" that have g~ided his disciples throughout history. He viewed life and people with endless tolerance and always eınphasized "love, goodness, subınission to God and patience." Rumi viewed the day of death asa day ofre-birth and used the term Sheb-i Arus, which ıneans 'union or wedding with a lover', to deseribe his ıneeting with the eternal God. Ruıni's poeıns espoused universal principles needed by all ofhuınanity throughout history and the Mevlevi order inspired by his teaching has attracted ınany adherents not just in Turkey but araund the world. English orientalist A. J. Arbery deseribes Rumi as the world's greatest poet and R. A. Nicholson worked for 30 years to transiate his greatest work, the Mesnevi, into English. As ınany of you know, UNESCO declared 2007 the 'Year ofmawlana' in honor of the 800th anniversary of his birth. Thus, it is very iınportant that new ınodes of coınınunication be found to express and proınote the thoughts and ideas proposed by Rumi, a poet of tiıneless influence. Ali Kocaınaz's book of caricatures is one of the newest works available about Rumi. Mr. Kocaınaz does not atteınpt to deseribe Ruıni's ideas with writing, speech, ınusic or sema. He has chosen a ınore difficult task- that of drawing pictures of his ideas. He has clothed Ruıni's ideasin flesh and blood, to use an expressian used by Yunus Eınre, anather passionate see k er of truth. Of course, it is not at all easy to gain so me idea about the ınystical views of a great thinker, to try to understand what he is trying to say and quantify it. However, I can say that Mr. Kocaınaz has poured his heart into this difficult task and has ınanaged to accoınplish it successfully by giving us a new, unique perspective on the Mesnevi. 11 HAZRETİ MEVLANA İLHAMIYLA ÇİZİLEN KARiKATÜRLER: ÇİZGİLERİN GİZEMLİ MUSİKİ S İNE DAİR B İR "İLK" ÇAL I ŞMA Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güner SAYAR Yüce Mevlana'yı ölümsüz kılan sesienişini asırları bir mızrak gibi delip günümüze, buradan da yarınlara ulaştıran güç onun önce Hakk'a vasıl olup sonra halka dönmesi ve inananlara ilham-ı zati ile hitab etmesidir. Onun nutkunda havatıra yer olmadığı için Cenab-ı Mevlana Allah kelamının en sahih bir müfessiri, 'Mesnevi'side Kur'an'ın en uzun soluklu bir tefsiridir. Dünden bugüne Hakkaşıkları Hz. Mevlana'nın nutk-u alilerini tekrar tekrar okumuşlar, düşünmüşler, bu Allah yolunun güzide velisinin uzattığı ışıklada bu yolun en çetrefil ve keskin dönemeçlerini aşmışlardır. Onun büyüklüğünü ve üstünlüğünü burada, Allah yoluna yönelmiş su katışmadık müminlerin ellerinden tutmuş olmasında görüyoruz. Allah' ı bilen ve seven Hz. Mevlana Allah' ı anlamak arzu ve istidadında olanların işini kolaylaştırıyor, sırtlarındaki yükü alarak onları dün olduğu gibi bugün de 'Mesnevi'si ile onlara rehberlik ediyor. Bilen ve seven Mevlana, Allah'ı bildiriyor, sevdiriyor. Bir kul olarak omuziadığı bu görevi hakkıyla yerine getiren bu büyük Hamuş kendisine mülaki olanları mest ediyor, mükafatlandırıyor. Yüce Mevlana'nın sevilmesini de burada aramalıyız. Görülen odur ki, Hakkaşıkları onunlaallah'a giden yolu hem kısaltmışlar, hem de emin adımlarla bu mubareğin rehberliğinde Allah'a müteveccih olmanın hazz-ı manevisini Jatmışlardır. Bilhassa Mesnevi şarihlerinin onun mübarek lafızlarına manaveriderken zata mahsus ikramlardan, hatta şefaat-ı hassiyeye nail olduklarından şüphe edilmemelidir. Cenab-ı Mevlana'yı aniatmada onun sözlerinin bilinen bu uslup ve usulün dışında farklı vasıtalara da müracat edilmektedir. Ancak karikatürün bir vasıta olarak Hz. Mevlana düşüncesinin içten dışarıya çekilmesinde, çizgileri konuşturarak şerh yolunda farklı bir imkanın zorlanması, zannederim hiç düşünülmemiş bir yoldur. Bu eserde sergilenen doksandokuz karikatürde Ali Kocamaz şaşırtıc t bir kalem ustalığıyla çizgilerin bünyesinde saklı olan musikinin gizemli kapısını açıyor ve manevi bir derece olan hayrete bizleri düşürüyor. Okumaya çalışacağımız bu karakatürlerle Mevlana toprağının eviadı Ali Kocamaz hepimizi fevkalede yeni ve alışılmışın dışında bereketli bir muhite davet ediyor. Bugüne değin bir abartma sanatı olarak kabul gören, eleştirel hiciv oklarını konuya yada muhatabına salvolada gönderen karikatür sanatı, karikatürcünün zekavetine çok şey borçludur. Olayları şahıslara raptederek birkaç çizgi darbesiyle bazı müphemliklerin üzerindeki, sır perdesini gün ışığına kavuşturan karikatürist düşündürdüğü kadar hi cv etme yönüyle de bazılarını yaralaya biliyor. Dolayısıyla, tek başına karakatürün düşündürücü olması elbette onun başarı düzeyini tayin edecektir. Söz, yazı ve musikinin dışında çizgilerin hem ahenk birlikteliğinin kalem oynatmalarıyla gözler önüne serebilecek potansiyel bir kuvveti olması insan zihnine sapianan çizgilerin yarattığı tesirin sadece güldürrnek ve düşündürmekle sınırlı kalmasının bazı sakıncaları olsa gerektir. Halbuki Ali Kocamaz Mevlana ummanına dalıyor, oradan çıkardığı incileri, bu defa kendi sanatkarlığı içerisinde işleyerek bunları alışılmışın dışında bir kolye haline getiriyor. Onun parmaklarının ucundan çıkıp somutlaşmış bu çizgiler bir karikatür sanatkarı olarak Ali Kocamaz'ın eseridir. Ancak bizlere, bu memleketin kültürüne böylesine değerli bir eser armağan eden Ali Kocamaz çizerken, dans eden çizgilerin ikramına kendi idrakini teslim ediyor, Hz. Mevlana'yı şerh etmede özgün bir evin kapısını açarken Hazret onun eli, kolu ve parmaklarını hareket ettiren güç. oluyor. Şu kadar ki sadece karikatür sanatçılarının akledemediği bir yolu adımladığı için değil, belki bu vasıtayı en süratli ve en seri bir şekilde Hz. Mevlana düşüncesine tahsis ettiği için mükemmel bir işlevi yerine getiriyor ve Mevlana muhiblerini yeniden bu yüce Hamuşu bir defa da bu cihetten düşünmeye, düşüncenin derinliklerine çekiyor. Ali Kocamaz bu eserde ortaya koyduğu Hz. Mevlana'ya adanmış çizgileriyle onun mesajlarını aşıklarına dervişane bir ikram ile sunuyor. Ayrıca bu sanat Ali Kocamaz'ın bu özgün bakış açısıyla farklı ve önemli bir misyonu yerine getirebileceğini ihsas ettiriyor. Mevlana aşıkları bu albüm içerisinde yapacakları manevi yolculukla Hz. Mevlana ruhuna bir başka vasıta içerisinde kavuşmakla bahtiyar olacaklardır. Ali Kocamaz da düşünülmemişi başardığı için tebrike layıktır. Son yıllarda Hz. Mevlana'yı anlatmak ve sahiplenme hususundaeskiye göre daha somut adımlar atılmıştır. Konya'da gerçekleşenleri, bilhassa belediye reisierinin ve İl Kültür Müdürlüğü'nün teşebbüslerini şükranla karşılıyoruz. Konya üzerindeki ölü toprağını attıkça Hz. Mevlana'yı turistlik bir malzeme ve meta haline sokanların da işleri zorlaşacaktır. Dolayısıyla Konyalının görevi mahalli ve milli değil, cihanşumüldür. Muhabbet eksik, fazla kabul edermiş. Bir hobi olarak başlayan karikatür çizme duygusunu Hz. Mevlana düşüncesine taşımasıyla inanıyorum ki Ali Kocamaz, hem hizmet ettiği için himmete erecek, hem de zevk-i selimin kainatında adını yaşatacak bir iz bırakacaktır.

12 CARICATURES INSPIRED BY MAWLANA JALALUDDIN RUMI: A "FIRST" IN WORK ON THE ESOTERIC MUSIC OF DRAWING Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güner SAYAR The power that iınmortalized the exalted Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi and pierced the centuries like alance to carry his message from the past to the present was the fact that he was first intimate with the Almighty and then addressed the people and believers with his personal inspiration. Because his message was not affected by outside influences, the Exalted Rumi is the most accurate coınmentary on the Word of God and the most extensive exegesis of the Koran is found in his work entitled M es nevi. From time immemorial, those who havefallenin love with the Divine have read and meditated on Rumi's pearls ofwisdom again and again, navigating the sharpest and most tortuous curves in the road with the light that this privileged guide to God's ways has provided. We see his greatness and superiority in the fact that he holds pure unadulterated believers who have taken God's paths by the hand. Understanding Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi, who knew and loved God, makes the joumey easier for those who have the desire and aptitude. He takes the burden from their back and guides them with his Mesnevi just as he has done for others in the past. Mawlana knew and loved God, so it is natural that he explains Him and causes others to love him. This great man dutifully fulfilled the mission he had shouldered, deligbting and rewarding all who had discourse with him. This is the seeret to how affectionately the exalted Mawlana Rumi was loved. It is apparent that those in lo ve with the Divine not only shortened their path to God but they also tasted of the sp iritual delight that comes from being resolu te in their pursuit of God as this saint guided them with confident steps..let there be no doubt that Mesnevi practitioners avoided personal bias intheir interpretation and obtained the most sublime intercession when they were meditating on his saintly sayings. A variety of avenues are employed to deseribe the exalted Rumi besides the style and manner of his words. However, I suppose using caricature as an avenue to expound on the thoughts ofmawlana Rumi is something that was not considered before as it isa stretch to comment on his ideas by expressing them with sketches. In the 99 caricatures in this display, Ali Kocamaz opens the mystical door to the harmony that is hidden in the sketches he has executed with amaziqg talent and astounds ~s with their spirituality. Hailing from the land of Ma w lana, Ali Kocamaz in vites all of us to a wonderful, novel and extraordinary atmosphere of blessing with these caricatures that we will attempt to interpret. To date, the art of caricature has been recognized as the art of exaggeration which directed i ts sarcastic and critica! arrows to w ards the target or issue in salvos but it owes a de bt of gratitude to the intelligence of the cari ca turist. The cari ca turist sometimes offends with a style that is as thought-provoking as it is sarcastic because it lifts the curtain of secrecy that covers certain obscure points with a few sketched lines that connect events to individuals. Consequently, the thought-provoking nature of the caricature is the soleelement w hi ch determines i ts success. In sp i te of the fact that in addition to words, music and literature, drawing has the potential to be a powerful and harmonious visual portrayal, there must be s ome drawbacks to limiting the effect of sketches that are etched on the human mind to mere humor and providing food for thought. However, Ali Kocamaz dives irto the depths ofmawlana and takes the pearls he finds there to make an extraordinary necklace in the practice of his own art form. These sketches, produced and made tangible by the pencil in his hand, are the works of the caricature artist Ali Kocamaz. But, as Ali Kocamaz was drawing these valuable works reflecting the culture of our country, he submits his reason to what the daneing sketches offer and the Magnificent becomes the power that moves his hand, arın and fingers as he opens the door with this original medium to deseribe Mawlana Rumi. He fulfills a wonderful function not because he walks a path that caricaturists have not thought of before but because he applies this medium to the ideas of Mawlana Rumi in the quickest and most fluent manner, and encourages Ma w lana Rumi devotees to on ce again consider and plumb the depths of this great Master. With these sketches in these works dedicated to Mawlana Rumi, Ali Kocamaz presents his message to devoted followers ina dervish style. Furthermore, this art form implies that Ali Kocamaz can fulfill a unique and significant mis s i on with this original perspective. Ma w lana devotees wi11 be elated to experience the spirit of Ma w lana Rumi through a different medium on the sp iritual joumey they will take via this al bum. Ali Kocamaz deserves to be congratulated for successfully achieving something that had not even been considered. In recent years, more tangible steps were taken than in the past with regard to coınmunicating and taking ownership in Mawlana Rumi. W e appreciate w hat has happened in Konya and especially the effotts of the municipal leaders and the Provincial General Directorate of Culture. As Konya shakes off i ts slumber, it will be increasingly difficult for those who have made Mawlana Rumi a tourist attraction and coınmodity because Konya's duty is not local or national but ecumenical. They say love accepts deficiencies. I believe that Ali Kocamaz will not only attain favor but will leave his mark in the universe of dignified pleasure for having applied what began asa hobby, his love for drawing caricatures, to the message ofmawlana Rumi.
