General Terms One needs to be a consumer in order to be able to establish a power production plant The power plant has to be in the same distribution area (the consumer and the producer have to be at the same place or at different places but in the same distribution area) The limit for the RE power plant for each consumption point will be 1 MW in total For Wind and Solar Power Plants, connection capacities for each transformer station will be allocated accordingly by the distribution company until the total power allowed reaches 2 MW Once the 2 MW capacity limit is reached, the distribution company asks TEİAŞ for capacity approval 9.4.2014 PV Power Plants in Turkey - İstanbul 12
General Terms (ctd.) Power plants of installed power equal or less than 5 kw may be connected monophase to the LV grid. Power plants of more than 5 kw can only be connected tri-phase. LV connections are limited to 30% of the transformer. Applications to the distribution company will be collected monthly and evaluated the following month. Priorities during evaluating the applications; Renewables, Co-generation plants, Projects which have consumption-production on the same location, First-time applications or applications which haven t been rejected, Projects with higher last year annual consumption than the other applications, Application time. 9.4.2014 PV Power Plants in Turkey - İstanbul 13
