Make sure that children do not play with your appliance. Always plug your device to a grounded socket. To prevent harming your appliance, do not use extension cords which supply insufficient current. Do not place your appliance over or very near to the direct heat sources such as oven, furnace. Ensure that the water heater is placed on a firm and flat surface. Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. The least blow or knock may overturn it. Do not forget that it may be full of hot water. Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your device. Do not carry your appliance by holding from the cord. To unplug the heater, hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord. Never interfere with your appliance except for the purposes of cleaning and maintenance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself, call immediately an Arzum Authorized Service. EN The outer surface of your appliance may be hot while operating, so do not touch hot surfaces, always use handle or on / off button. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before cleaning the appliance. Use your appliance with its own power base unit only. Do not place it on power base which belong to the other appliances. The kettle will switch off the energy automatically if it is left in operation while empty or while there is not sufficient water in it by mistake. In this case allow it to cool down completely before filling with water. Protect your hands from spout when the water is boiling, and do not let children to use the appliance. Never switch on the appliance when its lid is open. Never open the lid while the water is boiling. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast. Before operating the kettle ensure that the lid is fitted correctly, otherwise your kettle may not switch off automatically. Always remove your kettle from its power base before filling. Ensure that the water level is below the max mark. Do not operate your appliance when the water filter is not placed on the inner side of the spout. NEVER immerse the appliance, power base unit, or electric plug in water or other liquids, nor wash in a washing dish machine, nor use in bathroom or any other places with a high rate of moisture. NEVER leave the power base unit and electrical connection ends of your device in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and no not operate the appliance before having it dried completely. Use your appliance for its intended purposes as recommended. USING YOUR KETTLE WARNING: Do not use the kettle for any other purposes other than boiling water. NEVER fill with any other liquids or solutions. Before the first use, wash your kettle with cold water at several times, then fill with water up to the MAX water level, and then boil the water until your appliance shuts of automatically. Pour out the water and wash it with cold water. Repeat this operation for three times and then allow your appliance to cool down. Open the lid of your kettle by pushing the lid opening lock. Then fill your kettle with water according to the desired amount and close the lid. The water level indicator will show you how much water you have put in the reservoir. Take care not spill any water to base power unit, so fill your kettle after removing from the base unit. Fill the kettle with water always between the levels min. (0.5 lt) and max. (1 lt) marks. If you try to boil water under the minimum level, it may cause early switching off the appliance, and if you try to boil water above the maximum level, it may cause the water to overflow. Press the bottom of the on / off switch to I location and operate your appliance. When the water has boiled, your kettle will automatically switch off, the switch will return to the off location and the indicator light will go out. If you need to switch your kettle off before the water boils, please push the on / off switch from on location to off location. NOTE: Ensure that your kettle has switched off automatically, or is switched off manually and is disconnected, before moving it from the power base unit. Take your kettle carefully from the base unit and pour boiling water slowly to avoid the risk of splashing. Unroll the cable from the cable winding section completely. Place the reservoir on the power base unit. Make sure that it locates on the power base correctly; otherwise your kettle could not be switched on. Plug in the mains plug. 6 ARZUM ARZUM 7
CLEANING AND CARE Before cleaning your appliance, firstly ALWAYS read the instructions in the section Important Safeguards. Before cleaning always turn off 0 the main switch, unplug from outlet, and allow it to cool down. Discharge the water from the kettle, and wipe the outside of it thoroughly with a dry or damp cloth. NEVER immerse the power base unit and the kettle into water, nor wash them in a washing dish machine. Avoid using abrasive and chemical cleaning agents (liquid bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.) excepting the special cleaners for this appliance in cleaning any accessories of the appliance. Make sure that the cord and plugs are NEVER wet. If getting wetted, unplug from outlet and dry both the cord and plug thoroughly. You can wind the plug cable of your appliance in the cable winding section under the energy base unit and store after unplugging the appliance. Cleaning the Water Filter Water filter is placed on the inner side of the spout. It holds limes, scale and foreign matters which may be contained in the water. After each use, the water filter should be held under running water, and cleaned with a soft brush. Cleaning frequency depends upon the area (such as dusty) in which the kettle is used. In cleaning the water filter NEVER use dishwashing detergents or special calcification removers. CALCIFICATION REMOVAL It is important to eliminate the limes and scales which may have formed in your kettle periodically for the hygiene and energy saving purposes. Limes and scales contained in the used water will form a brown layer on the heating base, reducing the effectiveness of your appliance. Light formation of limes and scales can be easily removed with a brush (Before doing so, make sure that your kettle completely cools down and do not forget to unplug the appliance). The calcification removers sold and available on the market to use on household utensils as well as the vinegar can be used for removing the collected hard scales. To clean your kettle with a calcification remover: Once you have boiled some quantity of water in the kettle add the calcification remover and mix them. Then, boil for 2-3 minutes more, empty the kettle, and rinse the inside of it 2-3 times repeatedly. To clean with ordinary vinegar: Fill your kettle with half a liter of ordinary vinegar and wait for one hour. Then, pour away the vinegar and rinse it 2-3 times repeatedly with clean water. GARANTİ ŞARTLARI 1. Garanti süresi, malın teslim tarihinden itibaren başlar ve 3 yıldır. 2. Malın bütün parçaları dahil olmak üzere tamamı garanti kapsamındadır. 3. Malın ayıplı olduğunun anlaşılması durumunda tüketici, 6502 sayılı Tüketicinin Korunması Hakkında Kanunun 11 inci maddesinde yer alan; a- Sözleşmeden dönme, b- Satış bedelinden indirim isteme, c- Ücretsiz onarılmasını isteme, ç- Satılanın ayıpsız bir misli ile değiştirilmesini isteme, haklarından birini kullanabilir. 4. Tüketicinin bu haklardan ücretsiz onarım hakkını seçmesi durumunda satıcı; işçilik masrafı, değiştirilen parça bedeli ya da başka herhangi bir ad altında hiçbir ücret talep etmeksizin malın onarımını yapmak veya yaptırmakla yükümlüdür. Tüketici ücretsiz onarım hakkını üretici veya ithalatçıya karşı kullananilir. Satıcı, üretici ve ithalatçı tüketicinin bu hakkını kullanmasından müteselsilen sorumludur. 5. Tüketicinin, ücretsiz onarım hakkını kullanması halinde malın; - Garanti süresi içinde tekrar arızalanması, - Tamiri için gereken azami sürenin aşılması, - Tamirinin mümkün olmadığının, yetkili servis istasyonu, satıcı, üretici veya ithalatçı tarafından bir raporla belirlenmesi durumlarında; tüketici malin bedel iadesini, ayıp oranında bedel indirimini veya imkan varsa malın ayıpsız misli ile değiştirilmesini satıcıdan talep edebilir. Satıcı, tüketicinin talebini reddedemez. Bu talebin yerine getirilmemesi durumunda satıcı, üretici ve ithalatçı müteselsilen sorumludur. 6. Malın tamir süresi 20 iş gününü, binek otomobil ve kamyonetler için ise 30 iş gününü geçemez. Bu süre, garanti süresi içerisinde mala ilişkin arızanın yetkili servis istasyonuna veya satıcıya bildirimi tarihinde, garanti süresi dışında ise malın yetkili servis istasyonuna teslim tarihinden itibaren başlar. Malın arızasının 10 iş günü içerisinde giderilememesi halinde üretici veya ithalatçı; malın tamiri tamamlanıncaya kadar, benzer özelliklere sahip başka bir malı tüketicinin kullanımına tahsis etmek zorundadır. Malın garanti süresi içerisinde arızalanması durumunda, tamirde geçen süre garanti süresine eklenir. 7. Malın kullanma kılavuzunda yer alan hususlara aykırı kullanılmasında kaynaklanan arızalar garanti kapsamı dışındadır. 8. Tüketici, garantiden doğan haklarının kullanılması ile ilgili olarak çıkabilecek uyuşmazlıklarda yerleşim yerinin bulunduğu veya tüketici işleminin yapıldığı yerdeki Tüketici Hakem Heyetine veya Tüketici Mahkemesine başvurabilir. 9. Satıcı tarafından bu Garanti Belgesinin verilmesi durumunda, tüketici Gümrük ve Ticaret Bakanlığı Tüketicinin Korunması ve Piyasa Gözetimi Genel Müdürlüğüne başvurabilir.
