We are honoured with the pleasure of inviting many friends from east to west-north to south with whom we will have the opportunity of exchanging innumerous Ideas in the field of perinatal health as well as sharing the comments of our friends dealing with forensic medicine and pathology. It has been always the task of health caregivers to announce the birth of a newly born baby and enjoy with the happiness of her, at that time the happy family does not need us, but unfortunately it is again our duty when thel lose their child. One of the topics of this meeting will be how a health caregiver should be a good supporter for the family, which is the same in all of the languages. SIDS is becoming one of the most important factors amongst the graduates of neonatal intensive care units and it will be a problem in the near future in low awareness countries as the advances in technology is inevitable. " Storks" bring the neonates to the gentle arms of midwifes and nurses who will take care of them from on. The official language of the Congress is English and simultaneous translation from English to Turkish will be provided. Climate In October the weather in Istanbul is usually shiny,but rarely rainy and the temperature is between ºC. Official Carrier Turkish Airlines is the official carrier of the congress and the scheduled flight tickets will be provided with 50% discounted rate for international flights from 10 days prior to the congress to 10 days after the congress. Registration and Information Registration and Information Desks will be available in all the accommodating hotels from 2nd October Tuesday between 07:30-21:00. Registration fees cover the access to the scientific activities, welcome cocktail, congress programme and abstract book, attentendant certificate, congress bag and the badge. For the participant who did not register can register from the registration desks at the Congress Center. Gala Dinner fee is USD 59 per person and for those who wish to attend the Gala Dinner can provide the tickets from Figur Congress Organizations. 8 General Information activities for the safety of the congress. Certificate of Attendance All the participants who attended the congress will get their certificates of attendance. Exhibition During the congress an extensive exhibition of pharmaceutical and medical services will be open. Poster Area The participants who will have poster presentation should hang their posters between 08:00-18:00 on their presentation dates. The hall attendants will provide material and help the participants to hang their posters.poster area will be open from 08:00 on 3rd October Wednesday. Oral Presentation Oral presentations will take place during the congress on the halls which is mentioned in the scientific programme.for the participants who will have oral presentations slide projectors will be provided in Slide Control Room to check and organize their slides.participants will prepare their slides for their presentation with the help of hall attendants. Oral Presentations:In the main meeting room their will be 1 LCD Data Projector,2 Slide Projectors, and 1 Overhead Projector for the lecturers.lecturers who will need other equipments should inform the Organizing Secreteriat 3 hours prior to their presentations.lecturers who will use LCD Data Projector should prepare their slides in Windows Office 97 or 2000.For the oral presentations the lecturers should use Slide Projector or Overhead Projector. Slides:While preparing your slides please follow the below directions below: 1. The slides should not be more than 7 lines. 2. Characters should be 18 point. 3. 10 Scientific Information The slides must be prepared horizontal. Detailed tables should not take place in the slides. If you use 2 slide projectors please do not use vertical and horizontal slides at the same time. Please put your slides in glass boxes. Thin cartoon framed slides should not be used. Slides should be numerated. Slide number should be half of the lecture time. Transparencies: Transparencies should be A4 and should have at least 2 cm. empty frame. Slide preparation directions should be applied for transparencies as well. Slide Control Services: All the lecturers should bring their slides 3 hours prior to their lecturers to the Slide Control Room. The attendents in Slide Control Room will help you to check,prepare and send your slides to the meeting room for your lecture.after your lecture you can pick up your slides from Slide Control Room. Awards: At the end of the congress ESPID Awards will be given to a senior and a junior researcher. "Journal of Perinatal Medicine": The abstracts of the congress will be published in "Journal of Perinatal Medicine" which is in Science Citation Index(SCI) and Index Medicus. Abstracts must be written by dividing into parts as "Objective, Design and Methods, Results and Conclusion" to make it easy to understand. The title must be short and enough to explain the study. Unfinished studies will not be accepted. Please do not use titles of the persons in the study. "Journal of Perinatal Medicine" will publish an extra issue for the abstracts of congress. The abstracts should be prepared according the rules of the journal which is stated below. The abstracts which are not appropriate will not be accepted. a. The abstract must be typed within the frame of the abstract form provided using 10 point Times New Roman font. b. The abstract should have 1850 characters including the space. c. Use standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in brackets after the full word the first time it appears. d. Do not start the sentence with numbers. e. The abstract should be presented by the author who is the first name stated in the study and must be a paid-registant for the abstracts to be considered. Please do not forget to send a copy of the receipt showing you are registered to the congress, with your abstract. f. TITLE : Capitalize the entire title AUTHOR(S) : Write the initials and familiy names of all authors in capital letters.underline the name of the presenting author.
