6 ENGLISH Using your appliance Do not touch moving parts. Make sure that the appliance is switched off before connecting to or disconnecting from the power supply. Handle the blades carefully; they are extremely sharp. When handling the chopping blade, always hold it by the upper plastic part. To avoid personal injury, always place the bowl before you fit the blade holder disc. Remove the blades before emptying the bowl of its contents. Always use the food pusher to push food down the fill opening; never use your fingers, a fork, a spoon, a knife or any other utensil. Never operate the appliance while empty. Make sure the safety lid is securely locked in place before operating the appliance. Do not attempt to bypass or override the cover interlock mechanism. Always use the blender with the blender lid in place. Always take care when using the appliance. Never pull the power supply cord to disconnect the plug from the socket. Keep the power supply cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Do not allow the power supply cord to hang over the edge of your work top or table. Do not place the appliance on or near heat sources or in a heated oven. Do not use the appliance near flammable or explosive materials. Do not use the appliance outdoors. Always protect the motor unit from water or excessive humidity. Operate the appliance only with dry hands. If the power supply cord is damaged during use, disconnect the appliance from the power supply immediately. Do not touch the power supply cord before disconnecting from the power supply. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use, before fitting or removing parts and before cleaning. Always place the appliance on a level surface with adequate free space on all sides. Safety of others Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar with these instructions to use the appliance. Do not allow children or animals to come near the work area or to touch the appliance or power supply cord. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children. After use Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the socket before leaving it unattended and before changing, cleaning or inspecting any parts of the appliance. When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry place. Children should not have access to stored appliances. Inspection and repairs Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts. Check for breakage of parts and any other conditions that may affect its operation. Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective. Have any damaged or defective parts repaired or replaced by an authorised repair agent. Before use, check the power supply cord for signs of damage, ageing and wear. Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord or mains plug is damaged or defective. If the power supply cord or mains plug is damaged or defective it must be repaired by an authorised repair agent in order to avoid a hazard. Do not cut the power supply cord and do not attempt to repair it yourself. Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other than those specified in this manual. ELECTRICAL SAFETY Before use, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. This appliance is double insulated in accordance with EN 60335; therefore no earth wire is required. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in water or other liquid. 6

7 ENGLISH ASSEMBLY Processor bowl (fig. E) The processor bowl can be used to whisk, chop or knead large quantities of food. Place the bowl onto the shaft. There is no need to turn it - it will lock in place by itself. Place the required accessory onto the shaft. Place the ingredients into the bowl. Place the main lid onto the bowl and lock it by turning the lid counter-clockwise. The food processor will not operate if the lid is not correctly locked into position. Citrus juicer (fig. G) Place the bowl onto the shaft. Place the juicer filter basket into the bowl and lock it by turning it counter-clockwise. Fit the juicing cone over the drive shaft. Only use the juicer at minimum speed. Blender attachment (fig. D) Use the blender attachment for fine blending of raw ingredients and blending of cooked ingredients to a very smooth consistency. Make sure the food processor is unplugged from the power source and switched off before placing or removing accessories. Remove the main lid and the bowl. Fill the blender with ingredients and place the blender lid. Remove the safety lid. Place the blender into the hole and lock it. Place the bowl and the main lid and lock the main lid. Slicing and shredding blades (fig. C) Make sure the food processor is unplugged from the power source and switched off before placing or removing accessories. Place the bowl on the drive shaft. Fit the desired blade into the holder disc. Place the holder disc into the bowl, on the drive shaft. Place the main lid on the bowl and lock it. Juice extractor (fig. B and F) Make sure the food processor is unplugged from the power source and switched off before placing or removing accessories. Place the bowl on the drive shaft. Place the juice extractor into the bowl, over the drive shaft. Place the juice extractor lid and lock it. USE Do not run the food processor longer than 10 minutes (citrus juicer, juice extractor), 5 minutes (chopping, shredding, slicing and whisking) or 1 minute (dough kneading). Wait at least 5 minutes between each run. Operating the appliance Fit the desired attachment. Plug in the food processor to the power source. To switch the food processor on: rotate the dial to select the desired speed setting (1-12). The speed setting can be varied during processing. For greater control, press the pulse button for intermittent bursts of power. To switch the appliance off: rotate the dial to the off position. Please be aware of the cover interlock safety feature when operating the appliance. The appliance can not run unless the main lid and either the safety lid or the blender are also locked in place. When one of the lids is not in place and locked, the food processor will not run. Food processor Place the safety lid into the hole and then lock it by turning the lid counter-clockwise until the arrow on the lid aligns with the arrow next to the safety lid hole. Place the bowl on the drive shaft. Place the required processing blade or accessory on the shaft. Place the main lid on the bowl and then lock it by turning the lid counter-clockwise until the arrow on the lid aligns with the arrow next to the safety lid hole. 7

8 ENGLISH After processing, first remove the main lid, then remove the safety lid. Run the food processor at 20 second intervals and wait at least 2 minutes in between. Blender Remove the main lid and the bowl. Fill the blender with ingredients and place the blender lid. Remove the safety lid and place the blender into the hole. Lock the blender by turning it anti-clockwise until the arrow on the blender aligns with the arrow next to the safety lid hole. Place the bowl on the drive shaft, without any accessories. Place the main lid on the bowl and then lock it by turning the lid anti-clockwise until the arrow on the lid aligns with the arrow next to the safety lid hole. After processing, first remove the main lid, then remove the blender. Processor bowl The processor bowl can be used with the following accessories: Chopping blade Dough kneader Whisking attachment Chopping Use the metal chopping blade. Choose the speed and run time according to your needs. For greater control, use the pulse button. When necessary, add extra food through the fill opening in the main lid with the pusher. After using the chopping blade, take it out of the bowl before removing the processed food. Store the chopping blade with the protective cap on. Dough kneading Use the dough kneader. Do not use the whisking attachment for dough kneading. Place the ingredients in the bowl. The maximum capacity is 600 g of flour plus 400 g of water for 1 kg of dough. Keep the pusher in place when the machine is running. Run the appliance at maximum speed. Whisking Use the plastic whisking attachment. Keep the pusher in place when the machine is running. Run the appliance at maximum speed. Citrus juicer Cut the citrus fruit in half across the middle (not end to end). Place one half of a citrus fruit onto the cone. Only use the juicer at minimum speed. You can press up to 1 litre of juice before emptying the bowl. Blending Recommended speeds are between 5 and maximum. For soft vegetables and fruits (such as bananas), start slow and then gradually increase the speed. For hard vegetables and fruits (such as carrots) always use maximum speed. Do not load the blender with more than 300 g of hard vegetable per run. Run the food processor at 30 sec. intervals. Never fill the blender with boiling liquid. To prevent spillage, do not run the blender with more than 1000 ml of soft liquid. To use the blender as an ice crusher, fill the blender with 250 g of ice cubes and run the appliance for seconds on maximum speed. Slicing and shredding Always use the pusher to press down the ingredients into the bowl. Never press down ingredients by hand. Do not overload the bowl. You can process 1.5 kg of food per run. Recommended speeds for all the blades are 5 and 6. Juice extractor Always use the pusher to press down the ingredients into the bowl. Never press down ingredients by hand. Run the appliance at maximum speed. 8

9 ENGLISH If the juice extractor gets clogged with fruit pulp, turn the machine off. Remove the lid from the bowl and use the spatula to clean out the pulp. Do not use your fingers. If ingredients get lodged in the fill opening, use the pusher to press it into the bowl. If this does not solve the problem, turn the machine off, remove the plug from the socket and disassemble the juicer to remove the remaining ingredients. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Before cleaning and maintenance, switch the food processor off and remove the plug from the socket. Hand wash and dry the accessories (only the stainless steel blades are dishwasher proof). To clean the blender: fill the blender with warm water and some dishwashing liquid. Place the blender lid and run the blender for 30 seconds. Rinse and repeat if necessary. If the accessories have become discoloured by food (carrots, oranges, etc.), rub them gently with a cloth dipped in cooking oil and then wash as normal. Do not place the appliance, the cord or the plug in or near running water. If cleaning is necessary, wipe the dirty parts with a damp cloth. TROUBLESHOOTING Check that the appliance is properly plugged in. Check that the accessories are properly locked onto the drive shaft. Check that the safety lid and the main bowl lid are locked properly. 11 ITALIANO Uso dell utensile Non toccare le parti mobili. Accertare che l elettrodomestico sia spento prima di collegarlo o scollegarlo dall alimentazione. Le lame sono estremamente affilate: maneggiarle con cautela. Quando si maneggia la lama da taglio, afferrarla sempre per il lato superiore di plastica. Per evitare di farsi male, posizionare sempre prima il contenitore e poi il disco di supporto della lama. Rimuovere le lame prima di svuotare il contenitore. Utilizzare sempre lo spingicibo per spingere il cibo nell apertura d introduzione; non adoperare mai le dita, una forchetta, un cucchiaio, un coltello o altro utensile. Non mettere mai in funzione l elettrodomestico a vuoto. Prima di mettere in funzione l apparecchio, controllare che il coperchio di sicurezza sia ben bloccato in posizione. Non tentare di escludere in alcun modo il meccanismo di interblocco del coperchio. Quando si adopera il frullatore, il suo coperchio deve essere sempre in posizione. Fare sempre attenzione quando si usa l elettrodomestico. Non tirare mai il cavo di alimentazione per disinserire la spina dalla presa. Mantenere il cavo lontano da fonti di calore, da olio e spigoli taglienti. Non lasciare che il cavo di alimentazione penda dal bordo del piano di lavoro o della tavola. Non collocare l elettrodomestico in prossimità di fonti di calore o in un forno caldo. Non utilizzare l elettrodomestico in prossimità di materiali infiammabili o esplosivi. Evitare di utilizzare l elettrodomestico all esterno. Tenere sempre l unità motore al riparo dall acqua o dall umidità eccessiva. L elettrodomestico va adoperato con le mani asciutte. Se il cavo di alimentazione si danneggia durante l uso, disinserire immediatamente la spina dell apparecchio dalla presa di corrente. Non toccare il cavo di alimentazione se non dopo aver disinserito la spina dalla presa di corrente. Scollegare l elettrodomestico dall alimentazione quando non è in uso, prima di installare o rimuovere dei componenti e prima di pulirlo. Mettere sempre l elettrodomestico su una superficie orizzontale, lasciando spazio sufficiente su entrambi i lati. Sicurezza altrui Vietare l uso dell apparecchio a bambini e ad adulti che non abbiano letto il presente manuale d istruzioni. Vietare a bambini o ad animali di avvicinarsi all area di lavoro, di toccare l apparecchio o il cavo di alimentazione. Fare estrema attenzione quando si usa l apparecchio in presenza di bambini. Dopo l uso Prima di lasciare incustodito l elettrodomestico, e prima di cambiarne, pulirne o ispezionarne qualsiasi parte, spegnerlo ed estrarre la spina dalla presa. Quando non è in funzione, l elettrodomestico deve essere conservato in un luogo asciutto e non accessibile ai bambini. Ispezione e riparazioni Prima dell uso, verificare che non vi siano componenti danneggiati o difettosi. Verificare anche che non vi siano parti rotte e che nulla comprometta il funzionamento dell elettrodomestico. Non usare l elettrodomestico se alcuni suoi componenti sono danneggiati o difettosi. Eventuali elementi difettosi o danneggiati devono essere sostituiti o riparati da un tecnico autorizzato. Prima dell uso, controllare che il cavo di alimentazione non presenti segni di danni, invecchiamento e usura. Non usare l elettrodomestico se il cavo di alimentazione o la spina sono danneggiati o difettosi. Se il cavo di alimentazione o la spina sono danneggiati o difettosi devono essere riparati da un tecnico autorizzato, onde evitare situazioni pericolose. 11

12 ITALIANO Non tagliare il cavo di alimentazione e non tentare di ripararlo personalmente. Non tentare mai di smontare o sostituire componenti diversi da quelli indicati nel presente manuale. NORME DI SICUREZZA ELETTRICA Prima dell uso, controllare che la tensione di alimentazione corrisponda a quella indicata sulla targhetta con i dati caratteristici. In ottemperanza alla norma EN 60335, l elettrodomestico è dotato di doppio isolamento per cui non è necessaria messa a terra. Per evitare il rischio di scosse elettriche, non immergere il cavo di alimentazione, la spina o l unità di base in acqua o altri liquidi. MONTAGGIO Contenitore del robot (fig. E) Il contenitore del robot può essere usato per miscelare, tagliare a tocchetti o impastare grandi quantità di cibo. Collocare il contenitore sull albero. Non è necessario ruotarlo: si blocca in posizione automaticamente. Collocare sull albero l accessorio del caso. Mettere gli ingredienti nel contenitore. Posizionare il coperchio principale sul contenitore e bloccarlo ruotandolo in senso antiorario. Il robot per alimenti entrerà in funzione solo se il coperchio è bloccato correttamente in posizione. Spremiagrumi (fig. G) Collocare il contenitore sull albero. Posizionare il cestello filtrante dello spremiagrumi sul contenitore e bloccarlo ruotandolo in senso antiorario. Sistemare il cono di spremitura sull albero motore. Lo spremiagrumi va adoperato solo alla velocità minima. Frullatore (fig. D) Il frullatore va adoperato per miscelare finemente ingredienti crudi e mescolare ingredienti cotti fino ad ottenere una consistenza molto cremosa. Prima di montare o smontare gli accessori, controllare che il robot per alimenti non sia collegato alla corrente e che sia spento. Togliere il coperchio principale e il contenitore. Sistemare il frullatore con gli ingredienti e mettere il coperchio del frullatore. Levare il coperchio di sicurezza. Inserire il frullatore nel foro e bloccarlo. Collocare il contenitore ed il coperchio principale e bloccare quest ultimo in posizione. Lame per affettare e triturare (fig. C) Prima di montare o smontare gli accessori, controllare che il robot per alimenti non sia collegato alla corrente e che sia spento. Collocare il contenitore sull albero motore. Inserire la lama prescelta nel disco di supporto. Collocare il disco di supporto nel contenitore, sull albero motore. Mettere il coperchio principale sul contenitore e bloccarlo. Estrattore di succo (fig. B & F) Prima di montare o smontare gli accessori, controllare che il robot per alimenti non sia collegato alla corrente e che sia spento. Collocare il contenitore sull albero motore. Collocare l estrattore di succo nel contenitore, sull albero motore. Mettere in posizione il coperchio dell estrattore di succo e bloccarlo. USO Non lasciare in funzione il robot per alimenti per oltre 10 minuti (spremiagrumi, estrattore di succo), 5 minuti (tagliare a tocchetti, triturare, affettare e montare) o 1 minuto (impastare). Attendere almeno 5 minuti prima di riutilizzarlo. Funzionamento dell elettrodomestico. Montare l accessorio desiderato. Collegare il robot per alimenti alla corrente. 12

13 ITALIANO Per accendere il robot: ruotare il quadrante per selezionare la velocità desiderata (1-12). La velocità può essere modificata durante la preparazione. Per un maggiore controllo, adoperare il pulsante della funzione intermittente per ottenere una velocità intermittente. Per spegnere l elettrodomestico: ruotare il quadrante in posizione off. Chi utilizza l elettrodomestico, deve conoscere la funzione di sicurezza ad interblocco del coperchio: l elettrodomestico può essere messo in funzione unicamente se il coperchio principale è bloccato in posizione assieme al coperchio di sicurezza o al frullatore. Se uno dei coperchi non è bloccato in posizione, il robot per alimenti non funziona. Robot per alimenti Inserire nel foro il coperchio di sicurezza e bloccarlo girandolo in senso antiorario, finché la freccia sul coperchio non si allinea con la freccia accanto al relativo foro. Collocare il contenitore sull albero motore. Montare sull albero la lama o l accessorio del caso. Mettere sul contenitore il coperchio principale e bloccarlo girandolo in senso antiorario, finché la freccia sul coperchio non si allinea con la freccia accanto al foro del coperchio di sicurezza. Terminata la preparazione, levare prima il coperchio principale e poi il coperchio di sicurezza. Frullatore Togliere il coperchio principale e il contenitore. Sistemare il frullatore con gli ingredienti e mettere il coperchio del frullatore. Levare il coperchio di sicurezza ed inserire il frullatore nel foro. Bloccare il frullatore girandolo in senso antiorario, finché la freccia sul frullatore non si allinea con la freccia accanto al foro del coperchio di sicurezza. Mettere il contenitore sull albero motore, senza nessun accessorio. Mettere sul contenitore il coperchio principale e bloccarlo girandolo in senso antiorario, finché la freccia sul coperchio non si allinea con la freccia accanto al foro del coperchio di sicurezza. Terminata la preparazione, levare prima il coperchio principale e poi il frullatore. Contenitore del robot Il contenitore del robot può essere adoperato con i seguenti accessori: Lama da taglio Impastatore a spirale Frusta Taglio Usare la lama metallica da taglio. La velocità ed il tempo di funzionamento vanno selezionati in base alle esigenze. Per un maggiore controllo, adoperare il pulsante della funzione intermittente. Quando necessario, ulteriori ingredienti possono essere aggiunti attraverso l apertura sul coperchio principale, con lo spingicibo. Dopo avere adoperato la lama da taglio, levarla dal contenitore prima di svuotarlo degli ingredienti pronti. La lama da taglio deve essere riposta con l apposita protezione. Impastatore a spirale Per impastare, adoperare l accessorio apposito e non utilizzare la frusta. Mettere gli ingredienti nel contenitore. La capacità massima è di 600 g di farina più 400 g di acqua, per 1 kg di pasta. Mantenere lo spingicibo in posizione quando la macchina è in funzione. Far andare l elettrodomestico a massima velocità. Il robot per alimenti deve essere utilizzato per periodi di 20 secondi, seguiti da una pausa intermedia di almeno 2 minuti. Sbattitura Usare la frusta in plastica Mantenere lo spingicibo in posizione quando la macchina è in funzione. 13

14 ITALIANO Far andare l elettrodomestico a massima velocità. Spremiagrumi Tagliare a metà l agrume trasversalmente (non da un estremità all altra). Collocare una metà del frutto su un cono. Lo spremiagrumi va adoperato solo alla velocità minima. Prima di svuotare il contenitore è possibile premere fino a 1 litro di succo. Non riempire eccessivamente il contenitore: è possibile preparare 1,5 kg di ingredienti per volta. Per tutte le lame si suggerisce una velocità compresa tra 5 e 6. PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE Prima di eseguire qualsiasi procedura di pulizia o manutenzione, spegnere il robot per alimenti e disinserire la spina dalla presa.
