Calvino is designed keeping in mind that; a system design that was developed for everybody s needs, can not be easily personalised. A basic Systems Furniture, will never look and feel personal. However Calvino aims to achieve this warm personal feeling, and be able to move the user emotionally. Standardisation of a system is substituted by, relaxed, unattached and independent pieces. The round corners, simple and naive shapes add to this warm feeling rather than an industrial systems language. Calvino, herkesin gereksinimleri için gelifltirilen bir sistem tasar m n kiflisellefltirmenin gerçekte mümkün olmad düflüncesiyle tasarland. Gerçek bir Sistem Mobilyas hiçbir zaman kiflisel görünmez ve bu duyguyu vermez. Ancak Calvino, bu kifliselli in s cakl n yakalamay ve kullan c n n duygular na hitap edebilmeyi amaçl yor. Calvino is a new proposition for a single desk approach for the individual. The idea is to propose something personal for the new worker profile with much higher qualities than before. The level between mid-management and operation is slowly blurring. The program can grow into two and four people stations as well as into a bench system. The program is developed as a novel concept for the new work habitat. The brief for the project was to erase the industrial memory. Erasing the table top thicknesses; Instead of industrially available composite panel thicknesses, one experiences only a thin line of 2 milimeters joining the panel surface and the tapering frame. The legs are not a rectangular section with a corner, but a tubular piece that melts nearly seamlessly into the structural frame.
