Site Istanbul Bilgi University, Dolapdere Campus, I. Building Project Details Project Type: Renovation Duration: 2001-2002 Dimensions: 12500 m 2 Awards: 2002 8. National Architecture Exhibit Yapı Yaşam Çevresi 1. Award Project Description Classes, amphitheatres, 2 halls, a library, cafeteria and offices were installed in a 12.500 m 2 of closed area, inside a former truck assembly factory. Windowless front elevation of the building registered as the face of the university, while inside of the building respaced to fulfil specified needs. The steel roof with sunlight illuminations of the hall was renovated and preserved. Two floors of boxes were constructed in this section with steel support structure and plasterboard walls. These boxes were connected with bridges and corridors. The lightning of the spaces was strengthened with glass bricks. In order to maintain healthy utilization and a seamless outlook of the floor, polyurethane was used for plating. The section used as a dye-house and for motor hood repair was turned into the campus entrance, courtyard, and the cafeteria. In the cafeteria, a hall was formed by using steel and wood. These spaces were ensured to get sunlight from the roof. Inside the building, in the section used as a parking lot before, two lectureconference halls, one with the capacity of 250, the other of 290 people, were built.

Site İstanbul Bilgi University, Dolapdere Campus, II. Building Project Details Project Type: Architectural Design Duration: 2003-2004 Dimensions: 4500 m 2 Awards: 2004 9. National Architecture Exhibit Building Category Nominee 2005 TUCSA I. Award 2005 ECCS Steel Design Award Project Description This building was designed to a 4500 m 2 closed area after taking technical and financial issues such as; busy schedules, classrooms, offices, halls, sport and resting areas, the visual complexity of the surroundings nearby, the connection to the existing building, local ground problems, the deadline. n the higher block, repeatable modular classrooms were arranged around an atrium. The space was ensured to have sunlight from a big, transparent roof. Into the atrium, computer labs with semi-transparent walls were positioned in an asymmetric fashion, creating negative spaces and terraces. With the new created space, while terraces were used as recess areas, with the visual connection between the floors, the space was ensured to have maximum sunlight. The lower block was used for offices, a courtroom and the cafeteria at the ground floor. A pool was emplaced inside the other block in the campus area. The shortness of the administration period and the need to construct light building in spite of the limits of ground improvement required the project to be solved with steel structure. This decision also facilitated to realize the architectural approach s options. The design matured itself with the features of a steel structure: the lightness feeling, the desire to blend in with the surrounding complexity with its fragmented elevation, the abundance of enclosed spaces, transparency, large spaces, negative spaces, fast execution The team that handled both the project and the execution, took each chance of intervening to in order to develop the construction in time with pleasure.

Site Gökçebel House Project Details Project Type: Architectural Duration: 2010 Dimensions: 84x45 m 2 Project Description Two small housing was designed in a land with an active and green topography in Bodrum Gökçebel. The object of the project was to create residences that did not interfere with the topography, had maximum closed space productivity and were completely exposed to the landscape.

Site Kasser Waterfall Hydroelectric Station and Energy Museum Project Details Project Type: Architectural Project Year: 2007 Dimensions: 750 m 2 Project Description In the Lara district, in Antalya-Muratpaşa town, Düden stream falls into the sea as Kasser Waterfall with an impressive visual quality. A park, with the purposes of resting, sightseeing and wandering, exists where the Kasser falls. The unarranged empty space next to the park is requested to be used as HES and a museum. The museum consists of two constructural parts. The first section is above, and the second section is underground. The first section above ground constitutes the larger capacity of the museum and its architecture was designed with a dynamic point of view, taking morphology of the cliffs and the function of the museum into account, different surfaces were created with steel+glass+wood+stone material on different planes. The second section underground is shaped like a cylinder and the central is in this section, downstairs. The observers can get to this section with a transparent elevator in the center. In the entrance of the museum, there is a counter for sales. The platform near the transparent elevator in the center is covered with protective glass. Therefore observers can see the central underground from the first floor. The museum functions are held in the wings. The wing houses permanent and temporary exhibition halls, simulation rooms, projection-conference hall, and cubic for interactive applications. This area also contains facilities such as wc and kitchen. The area where the power plant and turbines exist is a cylinder construction, 30-35 m deep. Water streaming to, and out of the turbines can be seen through transparent pipes and an open pool. Observers can get out of the elevator to the attached steel platforms and watch objects on the platform, and production and the transfusion of electricity. It is also possible to get to the sea level with a tunnel in this area, and observers can be transformed to the museum with a platform on the sea.

Site Lush Otel-Sıraselviler Project Details Project Type: Renovation & Decoration Duration: 2005-2006 Dimensions: 1300 m 2 Project Description A Building of 100 years, built on a 1200 m 2 closed area, was turned into a design hotel and a restaurant by Architecture-Decoration projects and Architecture- Decoration administration. The fact that the building was designed as housing in its time gave the first hints for it coming usage as a hotel. All the rooms were going to be designed like apartment building flats and the design s main theme would be based on interpreting and recreating different cultural and architectural styles of Istanbul Beyoğlu in the last century with today s point of view. The building s neoclassical facade was preserved and the original details of the building were renovated; 3.50-4.50 m floors were designed to include 22 rooms with different sizes, the restaurant, lobby, the kitchen and service facilities. Names like cedar room, classic room, art nouveau room, thonet room, brutal room, transparent room, the room close to the ground, mariner s room were definitions that tried to explain the styles of rooms. Where roof height allowed, usage of mid floors widened the perspective of the rooms. As seen in the bunks beds of mariner s room, or extra floor of squire room. The result - that was aimed from the beginning - was delivering a feeling of Istanbul rooms without compromising hotel room conformity, and accomplishing to prevent differences impacting the users habits and tastes in an unnerving way. In addition, this result enriched the preservation idea beyond a physical preservation, and deepened notions as Hip Hotel, Design Hotel, for users sake with an approach that understood the voice of the place and emphasized its strong qualities. Site Noa Galata Triumvirate / Ali Hoca Project Details Project Type: Architectural Dimensions: 2800 m 2 Total Units: 25 Project Description The Ali Hoca was a reinforced concrete office building, built in 1976. Former office building was redesigned into studio apartments. Due to its design, it was thought to attract a younger populace. In this building that had maximum conformity conditions for the user's practicality, photovoltaic solar panels were used due to the roofing's width and orientation. With this, all of hot water usage and some of the heat installation's energy was provided The fitness center that was thought to service all the buildings and the district was installed in the lowest floor of the building.

Site Noa Galata Triumvirate / Lüleci Hendek Project Details Total Unit Numbers: 14 Dimensions: 3500 m 2 Project Description The Lüleci Hendek from the 1910's was the most flamboyant of the trio in the aspect of architecture, location, size and condition. In this building only steel strengthening was done. All the wood work, doors and upholstery were renovated with original details. The conformity conditions of today were realized after taking the building's original architecture into account.

Site Viranşehir City Hall Building Project Details Project Year: 2007-2008 Dimensions: 3500 m 2 Project Description Urfa Viranşehir City Hall Building was designed to be constructed in an 8000 m2 of closed area. In the project the office areas with high circulation was located in the second floor, whereas the other offices were distributed in other floors. The floor under the council hall that was emplaced in the center of the square was envisioned to be an amphitheatre.

İŞ BANKASI KÜLTÜR YAYINLARI CADDEBOSTAN Project Details Project Type: Architectural Project Year: 2008 Dimensions: 1500 m 2 Project Description Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları nın kendi yayınlarının satışını yapmak üzere satış yeri olarak tasarlandı. Mekanı uzaktan da çarpıcı kılan, geniş gösteren, verimli kullanan, kurumsal kimliğin uzun soluklu kalıcı devingen yapısını yansıtan bir tasarım ve malzeme seçimine gidildi. Zemini, duvarı, tavanı bir kutu olarak algılatan tek renk kullanımına gidildi. Tavanda ve duvarda kullanılan paslanmaz çelik kaplamalar kalıcılığı vurgularken, duvardaki alıntı edebiyat-okuryazar-mekan ilişkisine işaret etti. Vitrin camında Gökçen Karaağaç ın tasarımı bir grafik kullanıldı.
