Merkezin kurulus amaci

Merkezin kurulus amaci aktif ve fosil jeotermal sistemleri bilimsel ve teknolojik yönden arastirmak, bu sistemlerde yeni modeller gelistirmek, yeni jeotermal alanlari belirlemek, Türkiye jeotermal envanterini incelemek ve güncellestirmek, jeotermal enerji arastirmalari konusunda yeni gelisimleri devamli izlemek ve uygulamaya sokmak, bulunan jeotermal sularin yeni bilimsel teknolojiye uygun olarak kullanilmasini saglamak,

jeotermal sistemlerin arastirilmasi ve bunlarin uygulama alanlarinda Yüksek Lisans ve Doktora egitimine destek saglamak, jeotermal enerji arastirmalari için veri bankasi kurmak ve uygulayici kuruluslara yardimci olmak ve onlari yönlendirmek, bulunulan bölgede yeraltisuyu ve maden suyu potansiyelini belirlemek, bunlarin içme suyu olarak kullanilabilirligini arastirmak ve bu sularin kirlenmemesi için beslenme alanlarinin korunmasina destek saglamak olusturmaktadir. Ulusal ve uluslararasi olan merkez çalismalari bu konuda çalisan üniversiteler, arastirma enstitüleri ve özel kuruluslarla ortak projeler çerçevesinde yürütülmektedir.

Merkez kurulus amacina uygun olarak birinci asamada; deprem erken uyari sistemi çalismalari, hidrojeokimyasal arastirmalar için önemli olan hidrojeokimya laboratuvari, sivi kapanim çalismalari, mineralojik-petrografik ve maden yataklari arastirmalari için gerekli olan görüntü analiz sistemi, merkeze uygun bir kütüphane altyapisini tamamlamis ve bu tür çalismalari bünyesinde yürütmekte ve jeokimyasal çalismalar için gerekli olan jeokimya laboratuvari altyapisini gelistirmeye çalismaktadir. Merkez aktiviteleri ayrica merkeze ait WEB sayfasi (http://geotherm geotherm.sdu.edu..edu.tr)) üzerinden on-line line olarak izlenebilmektedir.

Merkez jeokimya laboratuvari altyapisinin gelistirilmesi için XRD cihazinin satin alinmasi için merkezin yogun girisimleri bulunmakta, XRFA cihazinin yakin zamanda tüm olanaklar kullanilarak satin alinmasi düsünülmekte ve bu cihazlarin islevlerini tamamlayacak bir AAS analiz sisteminin kurulmasi gerekmektedir.

Jeokimya laboratuvari bünyesinde kayaç örneklerinin saglikli ve güvenilir bir sekilde analiz sistemine hazirlanabilmesi için kayaç kirmakta kullanilan çeneli kiriciya, kayaç ögütmek için kullanilan bir degirmene, kayaç kesmede kullanilan kesme cihazina (üniversitemizde bulunuyor), kayaçlardan ince ve kalin kesit yapmakta kullanilan kesit makinasina (üniversitemizde bulunuyor) ve cevher örneklerinden parlak kesit yapmakta kullanilan parlak kesit makinasina (üniversitemizde en az on yildir bulunuyor ve hiç çalistirilamamis) gereksinim bulunmaktadir.
