5 BAŞYAZI editorial CUMHURİYET HATTI REPUBLICAN LINE Televizyonlarda çok sık bir kamu spotu yayınlanıyor. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı nın yeni iletişim merkezini duyuran bir reklam bu. Görüntüde bir kız çocuğu, önce kardeşlerini giydirip köy okuluna gönderiyor. Ardından telefonun başına geçip 1, 4 ve 7 rakamlarını tuşluyor. Ve karşısına çıkan kişiye derdini anlatıyor: Ben okumak istiyorum ama ailem beni okula göndermiyor. Bakanlığın Alo 147 hizmeti, okumak ya da okula dair sıkıntısını / eksiğini paylaşmak isteyen tüm çocuklara açık. Haftanın her günü, 24 saat de hizmette. Bu, hepimizin destek vermesi gereken bir kampanya. Tek bir kız çocuğu bile okula dönebilse verilen emeklere değer. Ekim, Cumhuriyetimizin kutlandığı bir ay. Cumhuriyet de zaten tam da böyle bir sistem ve aynı zamanda bir hedef. Türkiye nin kızları Cumhuriyet sayesinde okuyabildi, meslek sahibi oldu, ülkenin ekonomiden sanata her alanına damgasını vurdu. BAŞARAN ULUSOY TÜRSAB Başkan The President of TÜRSAB A public spot frequently appears on TVs. This is an advertisement publicizing the new call center of the Ministry of National Education. A little girl first clothes her siblings and sends them to the village school. Then, she goes to the phone and dials the numbers 1, 4 and 7. And she explains her issue to the other person: I want to go to school, but my family does not send me. The Alo 147 service of the ministry is accessible to all children who want to go to school or share their problems/ lacks about their schools. It is a 24/7 service. This campaign should be supported by all of us. Even the return of one girl to school will be worth our efforts. Our Republic Day is celebrated in October. And indeed, the republic is exactly such a system and at the same time it is a target. Turkey s girls have been able to go to school, learn professions and leave their marks in all areas from economy to the arts, thanks to the republic. Thus, presumably it would not be wrong to call the new service the Republican Line. The creators of that line should be applauded and more importantly supported. Happy Republic to all of us. 8 Tarih 22 Eylül Ankara henüz başkent değil. Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi üç yaşında ama, henüz Türkiye nin istikameti de belli değil. Padişahlık kalksın, hilafet kalsın diyenler ve hatta bunun için diretenler de var. Cumhuriyet sözcüğünü telaffuz etmeseler bile, bunu savunanlar da. Mustafa Kemal, işte böyle belirsizliklerle dolu bir süreçte, Neue Freie Presse adlı bir Viyana Gazetesi nin temsilcisini kabul etmiş, soruları yanıtlıyor. Sadece Türkiye nin değil, dünyanın aklındaki soruya, yani istikamete gelince Mustafa Kemal net bir yanıt veriyor: 23 Nisan 1920 de kurulan sistem, aslında Cumhuriyet idaresidir. Bundan sonra yapılacak tek şey, bunun adını koymaktır. Aslında Mustafa Kemal, adını yıllar öncesinde koymuş yazında Erzurum Kongresi toplandığında, yani daha Kurtuluş Savaşı nın ilk adımlarında hedefini saptamış. Dahası yazılı olarak kayda geçirmiş. Mustafa Kemal in yakın çalışma arkadaşlarından Mazhar Müfit (Kansu) anılarında, yaşanan tarihi anları şöyle aktarmış: Gecenin bir vakti Mustafa Kemal çağırdı. Kuzum Mazhar, sana zahmet olacak ama defterini alıp yanımıza gelir misiniz dedi. Paşanın yanında özel kalem müdürü İbrahim Süreyya Bey de vardı. Mustafa Kemal yaz çocuk dedi, Milli Mücadele kazanılınca yeni kurulacak Türk Devleti nin şekli Cumhuriyet olacaktır. Paşa bunları yazdırdı ve şimdilik kimseye gösterilip söylenmemesini tembih etti. Yıllar öncesinde adı konan, aylar öncesinde de dünyaya bir röportaj vesilesiyle duyurulan cumhuriyet artık ilan edilmeyi bekliyordu. Ankara gerçek bir yol ayrımına gelmişti. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey was three years old, but the direction of Turkey was uncertain. There were people saying, The sultanate should be abolished, but the caliphate should be maintained, and even people insisting on this point. There were also people advocating the republic, although without using the word itself. During such a process full of uncertainties, Mustafa Kemal was answering the questions of the representative of the Neue Freie Presse, a Viennese newspaper. When it came to the issue of direction, Mustafa Kemal gave a straight answer: The system established on April 23, 1920, is in fact a Republican administration. The only thing to do hereupon is to name it. In fact, Mustafa Kemal had named it years ago. When the Erzurum Congress had been held in summer 1919, in other words at the outset of the War of Independence, he had set his target. Furthermore, he had had it recorded. Mazhar Müfit (Kansu), one of the close companions of Mustafa Kemal, had written the historical moments as follows: In the middle of the night, Mustafa Kemal called me. He said, Dear Mazhar, could you please come with your notebook. He was accompanied by his chief of cabinet İbrahim Süreyya Bey. Kid, now write, said Mustafa Kemal, When the War of Independence is won, the new Turkish State to be established will be a Republic. The pasha dictated these words, and warned us not to show or tell them anyone at that time. Now, the republic, which had been named years ago and which had been announced to the world via an interview months ago, is waiting to be proclaimed. Ankara was at a real crossroads. The direction was to be either the one of those who advocated the caliphate and İstanbul s being the capital, or the one of those who advocated the republic and Ankara s being the capital. Ertesi gün Cumhuriyetin ilan edileceğini söyledi. Yıl Nutku nu okurken (üstte) ve 29 Ekim 1930 da Ankara Palas ta düzenlenen Cumhuriyet Balosu nda konuşma yaparken (altta) Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, while delivering his 10 th Anniversary Speech on October 29, 1933 (above) and while delivering a speech at the Ball of the Republic held at Ankara Palas on October 29, 1930 (below) capital by a one-article resolution submitted to the parliament. Then, Çankaya witnessed a historical meeting on the night of October 28. Mustafa Kemal summoned his staff, İsmet Pasha in particular. He said that the republic was to be proclaimed on the following day. And, October 29, The historical day began with the reading of the resolution prepared on the night before: The regime of the Turkish State is a Republic The Turkish State is governed by the Grand National Assembly The Turkish State administers the administrative departments established by the government by means of the Cabinet. The resolution was discussed in detail at the group meeting of the party that had started at 10:00 a.m. It was voted at Grand National Assembly s session that had started at 18:45. And on October 29, 1923, at 20:30, the parliamentarians and the crowd curiously waiting for the outcome around the parliament enthusiastically cried: LONG LIVE REPUBLIC! 8 TÜRSAB DERGİ EKİM 2012

12 Bir kablonun mirası: 10. yıl Türkiye de Cumhuriyet in ilanından itibaren geçen on yıl Cumhuriyet tarihimizin en önemli ve kritik dönemiydi. Bu dönem, Türkiye de, Atatürk önderliğinde bir yenileşme ve Türk ulusuna yeni bir kimlik kazandırma çabasının yoğunlaştığı bir süreç oldu. Savaşın etkileri silinmeye çalışılırken, bir yandan da rejim karşıtlarıyla mücadele edildi. Dışarıda ise, kendi gücüyle varlığını sürdürebilen saygın bir devlet olarak tanınabilmek için büyük bir çaba gösterildi. Bu çabalar genç Cumhuriyet in gücünü zorlamış, fakat, birlik ve beraberlikle kenetlenmiş bir ulusun başaramayacağı bir şey olmadığını göstermişti. Cumhuriyet in onuncu yıl kutlamaları, bu başarının ilanı ve tescili anlamına gelecekti. Bu nedenle, kutlamaların benzersiz bir şekilde gerçekleşmesi için yoğun bir çaba gösterildi. 11 Haziran 1933 tarihinde Cumhuriyet in İlanının Onuncu Yıl Dönümü Kutlama Kanunu adı altında bir kanun çıkarıldı. Çalışmalar ilerledikçe bunu diğer kanun ve kararnameler izledi. Pek çok kentte konferanslar, tiyatro gösterileri, konserler düzenlendi. Hafızalarda silinmeyecek anlar ise, hiç kuşkusuz törenin merkezi Hipodrom da yaşandı. Tören, dostu düşmanı ile dünyaya, genç Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ni gösterecekti. Bu nedenle herşey en ince ayrıntısına kadar planlanmıştı. Pek çok ülkeden film ekipleri de töreni kaydetmek ve gelecek kuşaklara aktarmak için davetliydi. Davetlilerden biri, Rus yönetmen Sergei Yutkeviç ti. Diğer ekiplerle birlikte erken saatte Hipodrom a gitmiş ve hazırlıklarını yapmaya başlamıştı. Ama doğrusu biraz utanmış, çokca üzülmüştü. Çünkü, diğer ekiplerin kabloları serçe parmak kalınlığındayken, onun kamerasının kablosu -daha eski teknoloji yüzünden- bilek kalınlığındaydı. Televizyon kameraları Atatürk ün konuşacağı yerin karşısında konuşlandı. Kameralar ve ses kayıt cihazları hazırdı. Sonunda beklenen an geldi. Atatürk alkışlar, tezahürat arasında Hipodrom a gelip töreni izleyeceği ve daha sonra da konuşma yapacağı yere geçti. Derken film ekiplerinin bulunduğu yerden kısık sesli feryatlar, homurtular yükseldi. Çünkü Atatürk ü getiren araba, onu bıraktıktan sonra kabloların üzerinden geçip gitmişti. Giderken de kabloları kopartmıştı. Yutkeviç in bilek kalınlığında diye utandığı kablosu hariç! Dakikalar sonra Atatürk ayağa kalktı. 10. yıl Nutku nu okudu. Dünyaya genç Cumhuriyet in az zamanda yaptığı nice işi anlattı. Dünya o konuşmayı, işte o çalışan tek kamera sayesinde izleyebildi. Tıpkı, Cumhuriyetimizin 89. yaşında bizlerin hala coşkuyla izleyebildiği gibi! The heritage of a cable: 10 th anniversary In Turkey, the ten years following the proclamation of the Republic was the most important and critical period of our republican history. This period witnessed vigorous efforts for renovation and providing a new identity to the Turkish nation, led by Atatürk. The traces of the war were removed on one hand, the opponents of the regime were fought on the other. On the international arena, hard efforts were made to be acknowledged as a respectable state capable of existing on its own. These efforts put stress upon the young Republic, but demonstrated that there was nothing unachievable by a united nation. The celebrations for the 10 th anniversary of the republic were to signify the proclamation and registration of this achievement. Thus, vigorous efforts were made to ensure the uniqueness of these celebrations. The Law on the Celebrations of the 10 th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Republic was issued on June 11, During the course of preparations, this law was followed by other laws and decrees. The 10 th anniversary was to be celebrated throughout the country, and even in the villages. During the three-day Festival of Republic, trains operated free of charge to ensure the participation of the people in celebrations. Conferences, theatre performances, concerts were held in many cities. Of course, the unforgettable moments were witnessed at the Hippodrome, the center of celebrations. The ceremony was to show the young Republic of Turkey to the entire world. Therefore, no detail was overlooked. Filming teams were invited from many countries to record the ceremony for the future generations. One of the guests was Sergei Yutkevich, Russian director. He had arrived in the Hippodrome early in the morning together with other teams for preparations. However, he was ashamed and sad. For, the cable of his camera was wrist-thick, because of its older technology, whereas the cables of other teams were little-finger-thick. The television cameras were positioned before the place where Atatürk was to speak. The cameras and voice recorders were ready. Eventually, the moment arrived. Atatürk arrived in the Hippodrome amid applauses and ovations, and reached the place where he was to watch the ceremony and to deliver his speech. Just then, hoarse cries and murmurs were heard from the place where filming teams were positioned. For, Atatürk s vehicle had run over the cables, after leaving him. And it had cut the cables. Excluding Yutkevich s cable, which had embarrassed him due to its thickness! Minutes later, Atatürk stood up. He delivered his 10 th Anniversary Speech. He told the world the young Republic s many accomplishments in a short period of time. The world could watch that speech thanks to the only camera that was functioning. In this issue, we have compiled some firsts of the Republic, by wishing many, many years, and extending our eternal love to Atatürk. 15 29 Ekim 1923 tarihinde Cumhuriyet in ilanıyla tarihimizde yepyeni bir sayfa açıldı. O sayfada neler olacağını ise Cumhuriyet sonrası çıkartılan ilk yasa gösterdi. Tarih 3 Mart 1924 idi. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti nin ilk yasası, eğitimi düzenleyen, okul-medrese ikiliğini ortadan kaldıran Tevhid-i Tedrisat Kanunu ydu. Türkiye de Cumhuriyet in ilk yıllarında resmi tatil, Cuma günüydü. 27 Mayıs 1935 tarihini taşıyan yasa ile tatil Pazar gününe alındı. Ayrıca, Cumartesi günleri de öğleden sonra tatil yapılıyordu yılından itibaren, tatil iki güne çıkartıldı. Radyoda ilk canlı maç anlatımını 1934 te Eşref Şefik yapmıştı The first live radio broadcast of a football game was commentated by Eşref Şefik in 1934 İlk dostluk antlaşması, Cumhuriyetin ilanından yaklaşık bir buçuk ay sonra, Arnavutluk ile imzalandı. Türkiye nin ilk gayrımüslim milletvekilleri yılları arasında Meclis te görev yaptı: Berç Keresteciyan, Dr. Abrevaya Marmaralı, Dr. Miko Fakaçeli ve Mihal Kayaoğlu. Cumhuriyet, kadınların toplum/devlet hayatındaki rollerini de değiştirdi. İlk kadın hakim, 1925 yılında göreve başlayan Suat Hilmi Berk oldu. İlk kadın avukat ise, 1927 yılında bu unvanı resmen alan Süreyya Ağaoğlu idi. Cumhuriyet in ilanıyla birlikte idari haritamız da ortaya çıktı. Buna göre 71 ilimiz vardı. Onların önemli çoğunluğu yoluna devam etti. Ancak birkaçının vilayet olarak ömrü uzun sürmedi. Örneğin; Beyoğlu, Çatalca Üsküdar, Kozan, Ergani, Silifke, Siverek, Şebinkarahisar.. Cumhuriyet in ilkleri arasında, kültür/sanat/spor alanlarında da kuşkusuz çok ilginç notlar var. Spordan iki notla devam edelim: Radyodan naklen verilen ilk maç yayını 1934 yılında gerçekleşti. Fenerbahçe ile Avusturyalı WAC takımı arasındaki maçı Eşref Şefik anlatmıştı. Hangi takımı tuttuğu hala tartışılan Atatürk o maçı dinlemiş miydi, bilmiyoruz. Tıpkı, Fenerbahçe stadında oynanan karşılaşmanın nasıl, hangi skorla bittiğini -hiçbir kaynakta ulaşamadığımız için- bilmediğimiz gibi! Futboldan bir not daha: Türkiye nin, futbolda uzmanlaşan ilk kadın foto muhabiri Eleni Küreman dı yılında gazeteciliğe başlayan Küreman, şık elbisesi, topuklu ayakkabıları, bakımlı saçlarıyla bir kalenin arkasına konuşlanır, en güzel kareyi beklerdi. Cumhuriyet dönemine ait son notu, toplumun yüreğine kazınan bir soyadı ile, elbette Atatürk soyadı ile verelim. Mustafa Kemal in resmi olmayan ilk soyadı Öz olarak bilinir. Ancak 1934 yılında, çağdaş dünyaya uyumun önemli adımlarından biri olan soyadı kanunu çıkmış ve Mustafa Kemal e Atatürk adı verilmişti. Peki, bu konuda karara varmadan önce nasıl bir süreç izlendiğini biliyor musunuz? Kanun gündeme geldiğinde, Cumhuriyet in kurucusuna nasıl bir soyadı seçilmesi gerektiği uzun uzadıya düşünüldü. Hatta Meclis te bu amaçla bir komisyon kuruldu. Tarih ve dil uzmanlarından oluşan komisyon, Atatürk ten önce 13 soyadı tesbit etti ve önerdi. İşte Mustafa Kemal e önerilen o 13 soyadı ve anlamları: Etel (Attila adının orijinal söylenişi), Etelalp (aynı kökenden büyük kahraman anlamında), Korkut (yavuz, heybetli), Arız (Türk kahramanlarından Alp Arız dan esinlenerek), Ulaş, Yazır, Emen, Salır; Tokuş (yine Türk tarihindeki kahramanların isimlerinden), Çoğaş (güneş, ışık), Begit (sağlam, kavi), Ergin (irfan sahibi), Beşe (mümtaz, seçkin). The proclamation of the Republic on October 29, 1923, opened a brand new page in our history. The content of this page was indicated by the new law issued after this proclamation, on March 3, The first law of the Republic of Turkey was the Law on the Unification of National Education, which regulated education and abolished the school-medrese duality. In Turkey, in the first years of the Republic, Friday was the official day of rest. This day was changed to Sunday by a law dated May 27, Additionally, Saturday was a half rest day. From 1974 on, the number of holidays has been increased to two. The first treaty of friendship was signed about one and a half months after the proclamation of the Republic with Albania. Turkey s first -and as yet last- non-muslim deputies who served as members of the parliament between 1935 and 1939: Berç Keresteciyan, Dr. Abrevaya Marmaralı, Dr. Miko Fakaçeli and Mihal Kayaoğlu. The Republic changed women s roles in the social/state life as well. The first female judge was Suat Hilmi Berk, who took office in The first female lawyer was Süreyya Ağaoğlu, who officially received this title in With the proclamation of the Republic, our administrative map also came out. Accordingly, we had 71 provinces. The majority of them have remained to be so. However, a few of them did not last as provinces long. For instance; Beyoğlu, Çatalca, Üsküdar, Kozan, Ergani, Silifke, Siverek, Şebinkarahisar. Certainly, the firsts of the Republic include interesting facts from the areas of culture, arts and sports. We do not know whether Atatürk, the actual team of whom is still subject to discussions, listened to this broadcast or not. Just as we do not know the result of the game played at the Fenerbahçe stadium, for we could not find it in any of our resources! Another note about football: Turkey s first female photojournalist who specialized on football was Eleni Küreman. Küreman, whose journalism career began in 1947, was positioning herself behind a goal with her stylish dress, court shoes and well-groomed hair, and waiting for the best moment to shoot. Let s finish our notes about the Republican era with a surname carved into the heart of the society; of course, with the surname, Atatürk ( father of Turks ). Mustafa Kemal s first unofficial surname is known as Öz. However, in 1934, the law on surnames, which represented an important step towards modernization, was issued, and Mustafa Kemal was given the surname, Atatürk. Well, do you know the procedure followed before reaching a decision? When the law came on the agenda, the issue of choosing a surname for the founder of the Republic became a subject of long discussions. Even a parliamentary commission was established. This commission, consisting of historians and linguists, determined and proposed 13 surnames, before Atatürk. The 13 surnames proposed to Mustafa Kemal and their meanings are as follows: Etel (the original pronunciation of the name Attila), Etelalp (from the same origin, meaning great hero ), Korkut (stern, majestic), Arız (inspired by Alp Arız, a Turkish hero), Ulaş, Yazır, Emen, Salır; Tokuş (again, from the names of heroes in the Turkish history), Çoğaş (sun, light), Begit (firm, strong), Ergin (wise), Beşe (distinguished, superior). Burada yapacağınız yürüyüş rotasında göreceğiniz doğal güzelliklerden bazılarıysa şöyle: Valla Kanyonu: Pınarbaşı nın 26 kilometre kuzeyinde Muratbaşı Köyü yakınlarında, Devrekani Çayı ile Kanlıçay ın buluştuğu yerde başlıyor bu muazzam güzellikteki kanyon. Kuzeyde bulunan Cide ye doğru yaklaşık 10 kilometre uzanan kanyon, Hamitli Köyü yakınlarında sona eriyor. Kanyonun iki tarafında bulunan metrelik kayalıklarda kartal, şahin, akbaba gibi kuşların yuvalarına sıkça rastlanıyor. Şanslıysanız kuşları havada süzülürken de görebilirsiniz. Burası çok büyük bir kanyon ve amatörler için oldukça tehlikeli. Bu yüzden profesyonellerden yardım almadan yürüyüşe çıkmamakta fayda var. Ilgarini Mağarası: Sorkun Yaylası ndaki bu mağara 3. ve 4. zamanda oluşmuş. Oldukça etkileyici ve büyük bir mağara milyon yaşında olduğu tahmin ediliyor. Mağaradaki sarkıt ve dikitler ise bir milyon yıllık. Mağaranın uzunluğu 850 metre, derinliği ise 250 metre. Roma ve Bizans Dönemi nde iskan alanı ve dini amaçlarla kullanılan mağarada yapı kalıntıları, seramik ve küp parçaları ile lahitler, su sarnıcı, şapel ve fırın kalıntıları bulunuyor. Ilıca Şelalesi: Ilıca Köyü yakınlarındaki şelalede, su 15 metreden dökülüyor. Suyun döküldüğü alanda doğal bir havuz bulunuyor. Çok sayıda ağaç ve bitki ile çevrili olan havuzun yüzmek için kumsalı da bulunuyor. Ilıca Hamamı: Ilıca Köyü ndeki hamam Bizans Dönemi nden kalma. Yontma taştan yapılmış kubbe şeklinde 2 metre genişliğinde, 3.5 metre uzunluğunda ve 1 metre 80 santim yüksekliğindeki hamamın duvarlarında sabunluklar da bulunuyor. Hamamın yaz ve kışın su ısısı 23 derece. Horma Kanyonu: Zara Çayı nın geçtiği kanyonda, suyun taştaki kireci aşındırmasıyla oluşan derin çukurlar bulunmakta. Kanyon, 3.5 kilometre uzunluğunda. Yüzyıllar önce burada yaşayan insanlar, kayaları oyarak su kanalı açıp, bu kanaldan su ile çalışan un değirmenine su akıtırmış. 19 The Küre Mountains National Park situated inside the territory of Kastamonu is one of the nine threatened points in Europe that should be protected, according to the World Wide Fund for Nature. This national park and the living space inside it are like a treasure that waits to be discovered. Now, the Pınarbaşı district situated inside the Küre Mountains is a settlement that experiences the luck of being among these natural assets. This nice district, which is located 240 km from Ankara and 520 km from İstanbul, could be preferred by day-trippers and trekkers. Especially during autumn months, when the forest becomes richer, trekking becomes more pleasurable. In other words, now, it is the best time to visit this place. Pınarbaşı is famous for its canyons, falls, friendly people and cuisine. Some of the natural assets that you will see during a trek here are as follows: Valla Canyon: This extraordinarily beautiful canyon begins at the confluence of the Devrekani Stream and the Kanlıçay ( bloody stream ) near the Muratbaşı Village located 26 km north of Pınarbaşı. This about-10- km-long canyon extending towards the Cide to the north ends near the Hamitli Village. The 800-to meter-high rocks on both sides of the canyon contain many nests of birds such as eagles, hawks and vultures. If you are lucky, you can see those birds flying. This is a very large canyon, which is quite dangerous for amateurs. Thus, it is better not to walk in the canyon without professional support. Ilgarini Cave: This cave located in the Sorkun Plateau reportedly was formed in the Neogene and Quarternary Periods. It is an impressive and large cave. Supposedly, it is million years old. The stalactites and stalagmites in the cave are one million years old. The cave is 850 meters long and 250 meters deep. There are remains of buildings, pieces of ceramics and jars, and remains of sarcophagi, a cistern, a chapel and an oven in the cave, which was used as a place of settlement and for religious purposes in the Roman and Byzantine periods. Ilıca Waterfall: The water of the fall near the Ilıca Village falls from a height of 15 meters. There is a natural pond behind the fall. The pond, which is surrounded by many trees and plants has a beach as well, which allows swimming. Ilıca Bath: The bath in the Ilıca Village dates from the Byzantine period. There are soap dishes on the walls of the dome-shaped 2-meterwide, 3.5-meter-long and 1.80-meterhigh bath made of cut stone. The water temperature is 23 degrees Celsius in summer and winter. Horma Canyon: The canyon, through which the Zara Stream flows, has deep holes formed by the erosion of lime layers. The canyon is 3.5 km long. Reportedly, hundreds of years ago, people who lived here were building canals into the rocks to supply water to the flourmill. Yüzyıllardır renkli tonlardan oluşan geleneksel fistanlarını giyen Pınarbaşılı kadınlar, doğayla uyum içerisindeler. Orman köylerinde yaşayan kadınların tamamının tercih ettiği sarı, yeşil ve mor renklerden oluşan fistan, Pınarbaşı ve Kastamonu nun Azdavay İlçesi ne özgü. Bekarlar, gelinler ve evli kadınlar için ayrı ayrı özelliklere sahip olan yörenin kıyafetleri, beş parçadan oluşuyor. Günlük, bayramlık ve düğünler için ayrı giyilen kıyafetler, yelek, kuşak, önlük, şalvar ve boncuklu takke den oluşuyor. Pınarbaşı, Azdavay a bağlı bir köy iken, 4 Temmuz 1987 de ilçe olmuş. Burada ve çevresinde sırayla Gasgaslar, Kimmerler, Lidyalılar, İranlılar, Helenler, Pontuslar, Romalılar, Bizanslılar ve Çobarlar hakim olmuş, 1460 yılından itibaren Osmanlı İmparatorluğuna katılmış. Önceki adı Erkemle olan Pınarbaşı, Roma ve Bizans İmparatorluğu Dönemi nde kalabalık bir yerleşim yeriymiş. Köyde bugün hala, Bizans kalıntılarına rastlanabilir. Pınarbaşı genel olarak tarihi kalıntılar bakımından zengin bir ilçe. Sümenler Köyü sınırlarında bulunan Hacet Kayası, Çalkaya Köyü nün batısında bulunan Kurtgirmez Mağarası, güneyinde Kedikayası ve Çamkışla daki Kızkayası bu önemli kalıntılardan bazıları Pınarbaşı; yemyeşil doğası, vahşi kanyonları, coşkulu şelaleleriyle doğa tutkunlarını bekliyor. Women with fustanellas Pınarbaşı is a settlement covered with green forests with plenty of water resources. The villages in the forests, which contain beeches, hornbeams, pines, oaks and firs in particular and all shades of green, attract interest with their rich cultural and folkloric features. The women of Pınarbaşı, who wear the traditional colorful dress, fustanella (fistan), for hundreds of years, are in harmony with the nature. The fustanellas, which bear the colors preferred by all women living in forest villages, namely yellow, green and purple, are peculiar to Pınarbaşı and to the Azdavay district of Kastamonu. The local dresses, which have different features for singles, brides and married women, and for ordinary days, festivals and ceremonies, consist of five pieces: waistcoat, waistband, apron, shalwar and beaded cap. Pınarbaşı, formerly a village affiliated with Azdavay, became a district on July 4, The region was ruled by the Kaskians, Cimmerians, Lydians, Persians, Greeks, Pontus, Romans, Byzantines and Tchobars in sequence, and incorporated into the Ottoman Empire from 1460 on. The Çamkışla (formerly Erkemle) village in Pınarbaşı reportedly was a heavily populated settlement in the Roman and Byzantine Periods. One can still see Byzantine remains in the village. In general, Pınarbaşı is a rich district in terms of historical remains. The Hacet ( convenience ) Rock inside the territory of the Sümenler Village, the Kurtgirmez ( wolf does not enter ) Cave located west of the Çalkaya Village, the Kedikayası ( cat rock ) south of the same village, and the Kızkayası ( girl rock ) in Çamkışla are some of them.
