We are hereby pleased to invite you to participate in the VI International Uzbek Cotton Fair a traditional event of the world cotton industry, which will be held on October13-14, 2010inTashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. Successfully hosted Cotton Fairs of 2005-2009 has provided a solid foundation for this annual event and resulted in its popularity among world cotton industry professionals. Primary goal of such an endeavor is to further expand long-term cooperation with international organizations and foreign companies - world's leading manufacturers and consumers of cotton, as well as to analyze trends and outlook for the global cotton market and to familiarize Uzbek cotton consumers with its quality and latest innovations in cotton manufacturing, trade and logistics. Large volumes of Uzbek cotton will be put for sale at the Cotton Fair. Moreover participants will have an opportunity to conclude long-term agreements with Uzbek exporters for future crops. ABOUT THE EVENT Nowadays, as the fifth world s largest producer of cotton and consistently the second largest exporter, Uzbekistan is undoubtedly one of the leading participants in the world cotton market. On the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a view to expand and diversify Uzbek cotton s export destinations, to increase efficiency and optimize shipment of Uzbek cotton to the world market, the First International Uzbek Cotton Fair was organized and successfully conducted in 2005. The Cotton Fair stimulated further development of market mechanisms in cotton trading, improvement of business relations between Uzbek producers and its customers. Taking into account the results of this event as well as high appreciation from international participants, it was decided to conduct International Uzbek Cotton Fair on a regular basis. The II International Uzbek Cotton Fair was conducted with great success in 2006 and about 350 representatives of 250 international companies from 35 countries of the world participated in this event. Following the established tradition, as well as considering wide experience of past years, it is planned to hold the regular VI International Uzbek Cotton Fair on 13-14 October 2010 in Tashkent. During the Cotton Fair participants will enjoy an opportunity to sign contracts on Uzbek cotton, to set up long-term cooperation in cotton trading, as well as to be familiar with the qualitaty of Uzbek cotton and with the latest innovations in trade and logistics. Moreover, during the Cotton Fair round tables and bilateral negotiations between Uzbek cotton exporters and consumers will be organized. The guests of the Cotton Fair will have an opportunity to participate in the cotton trading session on Uzbek commodity exchange. Within the framework of the Cotton Fair it is planed to discuss current problems and prospects for the world cotton market development as well as to learn competent views of leading international experts on different topics such as: - World cotton market: demand and supply, prices and factors; - Current state and prospects of production and marketing of cotton in Uzbekistan; - New technologies to increase cotton competitiveness; - World market of cotton textile: present and future; - Investment climate and foreign investors in cotton and textile industry of Uzbekistan and etc. We are sure that the regular Cotton Fair and Conference will be conducted at high level and become the basis for the mutually beneficial cooperation between the participants of the world cotton and textile industry.
REGISTRATION Participants are kindly asked to register directly with the Organizing Committee of the Cotton Fair at the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Below you can download the registration form for the Cotton Fair: Registration form (file in.doc format) Fill in the Registration Form and send it with necessary documents to the Organizing Committee of the Cotton Fair by fax and/or e-mail before October 1, 2010. Upon receipt of the registration form, the Organizing Committee will arrange the visa authorization to the Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate General at the participant's country to obtain entry visas.
