Bu yönde, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı ile TÜRSAB arasında imzalanan İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzesi Destekçilik, Hizmet ve İşbirliği Sözleşmesi kapsamında, İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri nin faaliyetlerinin desteklenmesini ve ülke turizmine yaptığı katkın n artmas n hedefliyoruz. Hayata geçirilecek iletişim programlarıyla müzenin daha geniş şekilde tanıtılması; kurumsal kimlik çalışması, ziyaretçi hizmetleri ve bu bağlamda eğitimli bir kadro oluşturulması öncelik verdiğimiz projeler arasında yer aldı. Müzenin bakım, onarım ve diğer ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasının yanı sıra, yeni bir yüze ve çağdaş sergileme alanlarına kavuşturulması için planlama ve proje faaliyetlerine devam ediyoruz. BAŞARAN ULUSOY TÜRSAB Başkan The President of TÜRSAB The stanbul Archaeological Museums displaying an excellent historical legacy with more than one hundred thousand precious works The doors opening to a magic travel into history through objects, works, art pieces belonging to different civilisations coming from an immense geography extending from Balkan countries within the Ottoman Empire to Africa, from Anatolia to Mesopotamia, Arabian Peninsula and further, until Afghanistan... A big complex of museums striking on the universal level, where the unforgettable services and memories of Osman Hamdi Bey echo and which are stated to be ranked among top ten museums in the world... And the first museum of Turkey... The Archaeological Museum, the Ancient Oriental Works Museum and the Tiled Kiosk Museum represent a world of history inside the world where the values of legacy of civilizations following one after another over an immense geography are exhibited. We believe much more attempts are needed to turn these historical venues owning such precious values, this big museum ranked on top positions in the world, into an attraction center on the universal level, to enable it to have more share in the country tourism and especially the culture tourism and to upgrade it according to the contemporary museum standards. Therefore, we target to boost the performance of the İstanbul Archaeological Museums and to enhance its contribution to the country tourism within the framework of the İstanbul Archaeological Museum Support, Service and Cooperation Agreement signed between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TÜRSAB. Our projects with priority include an extensive promotion of the museum through communication programmes to be applied, institutional identity works, visitor services and to have educated staff in this regard. Besides the maintenance, restoration and fulfillment of other needs of the museum, we are going ahead with the planning works for providing a new face and contemporary exhibition spaces to the museum. One of our main goals is to enable the İstanbul Archaeological Museums to keep their quality of a historical and cultural attraction center, always developing conform to the most advanced targets as a museum inviting, meeting and hosting by adopting the standards of a contemporary museum.

Genel Kurulu düzenleniyor İki yılı daha geride bıraktık 5-6 Aralık tarihlerinde, 19 uncusu düzenlenecek olan TÜRSAB Olağan Genel Kurulu Toplantısı, İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Uluslararası Kongre ve Sergi Sarayı nda gerçekleşecek. İstanbul Uluslararası Lütfi Kırdar Kongre ve Sergi Sarayı Auditorium da düzenlenecek Genel Kurul, 5 Aralık 2009 Cumartesi sabahı 10:30 da gerçekleşecek açılış töreni ile başlayacak. Açılış konuşmalarından sonra Faaliyet Raporu değerlendirmeleriyle devam edecek olan kongre çalışmaları, 6 Aralık Pazar günü 09:00-17:00 saatleri arasında gerçekleşecek oy verme işlemiyle sona erecek. TÜRSAB n 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 ve 2007 y llar nda düzenlenen son beş genel kurul seçimlerinin tümünden galibiyetle ç kan Yönetim Kurulu Başkan Başaran Ulusoy, 10 y ld r kesintisiz başkanl k yap yor. Daha önceki y llarda da 2 kez seçim kazanm ş olan Ulusoy, bu konuda bir rekora koşuyor. Ülkemiz turizminin gelişmesinde büyük rol oynayan, Türkiye nin her köşesinin ulusal ve uluslararası kamuoyunda tanınması, sahiplenilmesi ve korunması adına çalışmalarını sürdüren TÜRSAB, bugüne dek son derece başarılı çalışmalara imza attı. Başaran Ulusoy başkanlığındaki yönetimin son iki yılda da gerçekleştirdiği çalışmalar, şu başlıklar altında özetleniyor: Çalışkan bir mutfak ekibi TÜRSAB bünyesinde var olan farklı departmanlar ve ihtisas komiteleri kendi alanlarında önemli başarılara imza atıyor. Bu kapsamda geçtiğimiz dönemde, Ar-Ge departmanının sorumluluğundaki TÜRSAB Günlüğü ve web sitesinde 18. dönemden 2009 yılı Ekim ayı başına kadar toplam 1733 duyuru ve habere yer verildi. Sitede ayrıca çoğunluğu TÜRSAB Ar-Ge departmanı tarafından hazırlanan yüze yakın araştırma raporu ve dosyalardan oluşan bir arşiv bulunuyor. 18. dönemde Vatan gazetesi, Vatan TÜRSAB Turizm Eki ve TÜRSAB dergisinde de departmanın farklı konularda hazırladığı on yedi dosya yayımlandı. TÜRSAB IATA Komitesi, IATA üyesi seyahat acenteleri için faydalı olacak çalışmalar yapabilmek amacıyla Türk Hava İki yıl önce düzenlenen TÜRSAB 18. Olağan Genel Kurul Toplantısı sahnesinden bir görünüm A view from the 18 th Ordinary General Assembly of TÜRSAB held two years ago Yolları, yabancı havayolları, IATA Türkiye Müdürlüğü ve bankalarla görüşmeler gerçekleştiriyor. TÜRSAB Engelsiz Turizm Komitesi, ENAT (Avrupa Engelsiz Turizm Ağı) kongresine ve yurtiçinde yerel yönetimlerce gerçekleştirilen çeşitli etkinliklere katılım sağladı. Ayrıca TÜRSAB ın katkısıyla İstanbul Travel Guide Barrier Free İstanbul For All yayımlandı. TÜRSAB Doğa Turizmi Komitesi, Doğa Turizmi Acentaları Çalıştayı başlıklı bir etkinlik gerçekleştirdi. TÜRSAB Sağlık Turizmi Komitesi ise, Türkiye Sağlık Turizmi Platformu ile koordinasyon içinde, Akredite Hastaneler Derneği, DEİK, Türk-Amerikan İş Konseyi Sağlık Komitesi, Türkiye Sigorta ve Reasürans Şirketler Birliği ve ilgili diğer kurum ve kuruluşlarla görüşmeler gerçekleştirerek etkinliklerini sürdürüyor. Bölgesel yürütme kurulları genişliyor TÜRSAB bölgesel yürütme kurulları yeni mekânlara kavuşuyor. Muğla Ortakent Belediye Başkanlığı ile imzalanan protokol çerçevesinde TÜRSAB a tahsis edilen arazide, bölgesel yürütme kurulu idari ofisinin yanı sıra konferans ve toplantı salonu, kütüphane, bilgisayar odaları, sergi alanı ve TÜRSAB Kültür Merkezi, Ortakent Yahşi beldesinde açıldı TÜRSAB Culture Center opened in the province of Ortakent, Yahşi The General Assembly to be held at the İstanbul International Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Palace Auditorium will start with the inauguration ceremony on December 5 th, 2009 at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Following the opening speeches, the congress will assess the Activity Report and end on December 6 th, Sunday in the afternoon with voting. The President Başaran Ulusoy, winning all the last five general assembly elections of TÜRSAB held in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007, has been holding the presidency since 10 years without interruption. Ulusoy who had won elections for 2 times in previous years too, will break a record in this regard. TÜRSAB, assuming a crucial role in the development of our country s tourism, conducting works to represent and to preserve each corner of Turkey on the national and international platforms, got engaged in many successful works until now. And the works conducted by the management of Başaran Ulusoy in the last two years are summarized with the following titles: A diligent kitchen team Various departments and expertise committees mark important achievements in their fields. Halen bölgesel yürütme kurulu binası olarak faaliyet gösteren mekân toplantılar, kültürel etkinlikler ve çeşitli faaliyetlere ev sahipliği yapıyor. TÜRSAB Van Bölgesel Yürütme Kurulu binası ise Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi nde faaliyet gösteren seyahat acentelerine daha iyi hizmet verebilmek amacıyla 26 Temmuz 2008 tarihinde Milli Eğitim Bakanı Hüseyin Çelik in de katılımıyla açıldı. Toplantılarda bir arada TÜRSAB ın gazetelerle sürdürdüğü işbirliği çerçevesinde geleneksel olarak düzenlenen yemekli toplantılar bu yıl da basın mensupları ve seyahat acenteleri temsilcilerinin yoğun katılımıyla gerçekleştirildi. TÜRSAB üyeliklerini sürdürüyor 2005 yılından bu yana Bakanlıklar Arası Hac ve Umre Kurulu nda asil üye olarak görev alan TÜRSAB, Mesleki Yeterlilik Kurumu nun da genel kurul üyeleri arasında. Mesleki Yeterlilik Kurumu nun görev alanları ulusal ve uluslararası meslek standartlarını temel alarak, teknik ve mesleki alanlarda ulusal yeterliliklerin esaslarını belirlemek; denetim, ölçme ve değerlendirme, belgelendirme ve sertifikalandırmaya ilişkin faaliyetleri yürütmek için gerekli ulusal yeterlilik sistemini kurmak ve işletmek. of 1733 announcements and news were released from the 18th term until the beginning of October 2009 at TÜRSAB diary and on the web site under the responsibility of R&D department. The web site covers also an archive consisting of about one hundred research reports and files, many of them prepared by TÜRSAB R&D Department. In the 18th term, seventeen files prepared by the department on various subjects were published in Vatan newspaper, Vatan TÜRSAB Tourism supplement and TÜRSAB magazine. TÜRSAB IATA Committee gets in touch with the Turkish Airlines, foreign airlines, IATA Turkey Directorate and banks to conduct works which are supposed to bring benefits to IATA member travel agencies. TÜRSAB Accessible Tourism Committee participated to the congress of ENAT (European Network of Accessible Tourism) and various activities realized by the local administrations inside the country. And İstanbul Travel Guide Barrier Free İstanbul For All was published with the contribution of TÜRSAB. TÜRSAB Nature Tourism Committee realized an activity titled the Nature Tourism Agencies Workshop. TÜRSAB Health Tourism Committee, pursues its activities in coordination with the Health Tourism Platform of Turkey and in touch with Accredited Hospitals Association, Foreign Economic Relations Board, Turkish- American Business Council Health Committee, Union of Insurance and Reassurance Companies of Turkey and all other related corporations and institutions. Regional Executive Committees enlarge TÜRSAB regional executive committees are being provided with new venues. Within the framework of the protocol signed with the Municipality of Ortakent, Muğla, a multipurpose complex was built on the land allocated to TÜRSAB; the complex includes besides the administration office of the regional executive committee, the conference and meeting room, library, computer rooms, exhibition area and car parking area. The venue, serving currently as the building of the regional executive committee, hosts cultural activities and other activities. TÜRSAB Van Regional Executive Committee building was inaugurated by the participation of the Minister of National Education Hüseyin Çelik on July 26 th, 2008 to serve better to the travel agencies working in the East Anatolia. Gathering at the meetings Within the framework of cooperation TÜRSAB holds with the newspapers, the meetings with dinners organized traditionally was held this year too with the large participation of press members and the representatives of the travel agencies. TÜRSAB goes ahead with memberships TÜRSAB, taking place as permanent member at the Interministerial Pilgrimage and Umrah Committee since 2005, is among the members of the general committee of the Vocational Adequacy Board. The missions of the Vocational Adequacy Board are stated as follow: Defining the essential notions of the national adequacy in the technical and vocational areas based on the national and international professional standards; setting up and operating the necessary national adequacy system to pursue activities related to inspection, measuring and evaluation, documentation and certification. The travel agencies member to the association, arrange the representation of the sector at the chambers of commerce through their membership to the professional committees in the towns and regions, mainly in İstanbul. -TÜRSAB is also member of the associations abroad such as IFTO/ ECTAA/UFTAA/UNWTO and takes part in meetings, seminars etc... held by these associations. Participation to the activities abroad Acting with principle of representing adequately our country on the tourism platforms abroad, TÜRSAB takes part at the stand of Turkey in most of the tourism fairs participated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism each year. In the past two years, the Turkish tourism and travel agencies which are members of TÜRSAB were successfully represented at these fairs and contacts were held with the similar corporations and tourism ministries in other countries. The main fairs TÜRSAB was among the participants in the last year were TÜRSAB, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı nın katıldığı turizm fuarlarının büyük bölümünde Türkiye standında yer alıyor TÜRSAB takes place at Turkey s stand in most of the tourism fairs participated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism 6 TÜRSAB DERGİ KASIM 2009

Birliğe bağlı seyahat acenteleri ise İstanbul başta olmak üzere çeşitli il ve bölgelerdeki meslek komitelerine üyelikleri aracılığıyla, sektörün ticaret odalarında temsil edilmesini sağlıyor. TÜRSAB ayrıca yurtdışındaki IFTO/ECTAA/ UFTAA/UNWTO gibi kuruluşlara üyeliğini sürdürüyor ve bu kuruluşların düzenlediği toplantı, seminer gibi etkinliklere katılıyor. Yurtdışı etkinliklerine katılım TÜRSAB, yurtdışı turizm platformlarında ülkemizi doğru temsil etme ilkesinden yola çıkarak, her sene Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı nın katıldığı turizm fuarlarının büyük bölümünde Türkiye standında yer alıyor. Geçtiğimiz iki yıl içerisinde Türk turizmi ve TÜRSAB üyesi seyahat acenteleri bu fuarlarda başarıyla temsil edilirken, diğer ülkelerdeki benzer kuruluşlar ve turizm bakanlıklarıyla temaslarda bulunuldu. Geçtiğimiz yıl içerisinde TÜRSAB ın katılımcıları arasında yer aldığı fuarların başlıcaları WTM (World Travel Market), ITB Berlin, Utrecht, ATM Dubai, MITT Moskova, TT Warsaw Polonya, BIT Milano, Madrid FITUR, Selanik Philoxenia, Minsk, Romanya, Prag Holiday, Kafkas ve Sofya turizm fuarları ile Frankfurt Kitap Fuarı ydı. Yurtdışında düzenlenen toplantı ve seminer gibi etkinliklerde de Türkmenistan Avaza bölgesine yapılan TÜRSAB inceleme gezisinden görüntü Picture from the travel of TÜRSAB with the purpose of observation to Avaza, Turkmenistan Türkiye yi temsil eden TÜRSAB ın bu çerçevede katıldığı etkinlikler ise Kırgızistan da düzenlenen turizm forumu, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti nde düzenlenen İslam Dünyasında Turizm başlıklı seminer, BSTC-BSEC toplantısı ve İran da düzenlenen ekoturizm tur operatörleri toplantısı oldu. Yurtdışı tanıtım ve inceleme gezileri TÜRSAB, yurtiçinde olduğu gibi yurtdışında da inceleme gezileri gerçekleştiriyor. Geçtiğimiz iki yıl içerisinde Saraybosna, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, Türkmenistan Avaza bölgesi ve Suriye ye birer inceleme gezisi düzenlendi. Yurtdışındaki muadil kuruluşlar, turizm bakanlıkları, kültür ve tanıtma müşavirlikleri gibi kurum ve kuruluşlarla işbirliği içinde gerçekleştirilen bu gezilerde, TÜRSAB üyesi seyahat acenteleriyle diğer ülkelerin seyahat acenteleri yetkilileri bir araya gelme fırsatı buluyor ve turizm işbirliklerinin temelleri atılıyor. Yurtiçi etkinliklerine katılım TÜRSAB, yurtiçinde düzenlenen toplantı, seminer gibi çok sayıda etkinliğe de katılıyor. Dünya Su Forumu ve TÜYAP Kongre ve Fuar Merkezi nde düzenlenen İstanbul Gastronomi Festivali kapsamında düzenlenen 7.Uluslararası Mutfak Günleri bu etkinliklerin başlıcalarıydı. Yurtiçi inceleme gezileri Kültür turizmi sempozyumlarının yapıldığı illerde inceleme gezileri gerçekleştiren TÜRSAB, yerel yönetimlerin davetleri üzerine diğer bölgelerde de bu etkinliklerini sürdürdü. Kastamonu, Amasya, Samsun, Sinop, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Bergama, TÜRSAB heyeti Saraybosna Kanton Meclisindeki toplantıda The represantatives of TÜRSAB at the meeting of Sarajevo Canton assembly WTM (World Travel Market), ITB Berlin, Utrecht, ATM Dubai, MITT Moscow, TT Warsaw Poland, BIT Milan, Madrid FITUR, Thessaloniki Philoxenia, Minsk, Romania, Prague Holiday, Caucasia and Sofia tourism fairs and Frankfurt Book Fair. TÜRSAB represents Turkey in meetings and seminars organized abroad and within this framework, it took part in the tourism forum organised in Kirghizistan, the seminar with the topic of Tourism in Islamic World held in the Northern Cyprus, BSTC-BSEC meeting and ecotourism tour operators meeting held in Iran. Travels abroad for promotion and observation Besides the domestic travels, TÜRSAB organizes travels with the purpose of observation to the foreign countries. In the past two years, travels with the purpose of observation were organized to Sarajevo, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the region of Avaza in Turkmenistan and Syria. These travels held in cooperation with the counterpart corporations, tourism ministries and institutions providing culture and promotion advisory services in foreign countries, the travel agencies member of TÜRSAB and the representatives of the other countries travel agencies get the opportunity to meet and thus, the basis for cooperation in the tourism is set. Participation to the activities in the home country TÜRSAB takes part in many activities such as meeting, seminar organized in the home country. The World Water KASIM 2009 TÜRSAB DERGİ 7

Kocaeli, Adapazarı, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye ve Edirne ye yapılan ziyaretlerde bu alanların turizm potansiyelinin artırılması doğrultusunda yapılabilecek çalışmalar görüşüldü. TÜRSAB misafirperverliği TÜRSAB, geçtiğimiz iki yıl boyunca birçok yabancı heyeti İstanbul da ağırladı ve gelen heyetlerin büyük bölümüne Türkiye nin tanıtımı konusunda sunumlar yaptı. Bu sunumlar gerçekleştirilirken mevcut bilgiler ülkemizdeki tüm turizm gelişmelerini kapsayacak şekilde güncellendi ve ağırlanan ülkelerin turizm bilgileri de göz önünde bulunduruldu. İki yıllık dönemde Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, Mısır, Ioannia Ticaret Odası, Mauritius, İran İslam Cumhuriyeti ve ASTA heyetleri ülkemizde ağırlandı. Türkiye yi tanıtmaya devam Türkiye nin tanıtım alanında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, İrlanda, Güney Afrika, Hindistan, Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti gibi ülkelerde THY ve Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı ile ortaklaşa yürütülen sunumlara Forum and the 7 th International Kitchen Days held within the scope of the İstanbul Gastronomy Festival organised at TÜYAP Congress and Fair Center were the main ones among these activities. Travels for inspection in the home country TÜRSAB, organising travels of observation to the towns where the culture tourism symposiums are held, continued these activities to the other regions as well upon the invitation of the local administrations. During the visits made to Kastamonu, Amasya, Samsun, Sinop, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Bergama, Kocaeli, Adapazarı, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye and Edirne, the possible works to enhance the tourism potential in these fields were assessed. TÜRSAB hospitality TÜRSAB hosted many foreign delegations in İstanbul in the past two years and made presentations to many of these delegations for the promotion of Turkey. While these promotions were realized, the current informations were updated in a manner to include all tourism developments and the tourism informations of the countries hosted were taken into account. In the past two years, the teams coming from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Egypt, Ionnia Trade Center, Mauritius, Islamic Republic of Iran and ASTA teams were hosted in our country. Going ahead with Turkey s promotion The presentation held in cooperation with the Turkish Airlines and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the countries such as USA, Ireland, South Africa, India, People Republic of China for the promotion of Turkey continued this year too. Besides that, presentations about Turkey were made to the foreign delegations visiting our country. Relations with DEIK and TOBB TÜRSAB took part in the international meetings held by TOBB and DEIK Business Councils and presentations were made at some meetings to promote Turkey. The Association took also part in the visits organised by DEIK, and with the participation of the President and Prime Minister, to Poland, Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia, Federation of Russia, Tajikistan- Kirghizistan and Czech Republic. Boosting the culture tourism The symposiums launched by TÜRSAB Culture Tourism Committee and aiming at spreading the culture tourism consciousness by gathering the local administrators, tourism officials, people and the press were held in ten regions being respectively İstanbul, Cappadoce, Kuşadası, Şanlıurfa, Tarsus, Kastamonu, Van, Izmir, Mardin and Gaziantep. This activity attracting a big interest is planned to be held in the other towns too. Faith tourism in 2010 The 2010 İstanbul Faith Tourism Summit, among the projects offered by TÜRSAB to the 2010 European Culture Capital City Agency, was approved. The works initiated for the activity to be held in October 2010. Everyone has the right to holiday This year, an Early Reservation Spring Campaign was organized led by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, TÜRSAB, TÜROFED and Turkish Airlines to revive the domestic tourism. The campaign held by the contributions of TÜRSAB Domestic Tourism and Tour Operators Committee too, was presented with the slogan of Everyone Has the Right to Holiday. In case of early reservation between May 4-June 8 by the domestic tourists, the Early Reservation Spring offered advantageous payment opportunities along the year and thus changed the general perception that foreign tourists are offered more affordable payment conditions. Old structures are restored TÜRSAB pursues its works for the determination of the physical state of historical structures and their restoration in various regions of Turkey. In this regard, a protocol was signed between the Municipality of Kars and TÜRSAB related to the restoration of Aynalı Köşk (Kiosk with Mirror), one of the historical buildings in Kars and the construction of an annexed building to revive it. Within the framework of this protocol, the works launched with the project arranged by the ÇEKÜL Foundation and approved TÜRSAB Kültür Turizmi Komitesi tarafından başlatılan ve kültür turizmi bilincinin yayılmasını amaçlayan sempozyumlar birçok ilde gerçekleştirildi The symposiums launched by TÜRSAB Culture Tourism Committee aiming at spreading the culture tourism consciousness were held in many towns 8 TÜRSAB DERGİ KASIM 2009

bu yıl da devam edildi. Bunun yanı sıra, ülkemize gelen yabancı heyetlere de Türkiye sunumları yapıldı. DEİK VE TOBB la ilişkiler TÜRSAB, TOBB ve DEİK İş Konseyleri tarafından gerçekleştirilen uluslararası toplantılara katıldı ve bazı toplantılarda Türkiye sunumları gerçekleştirdi. Ayrıca DEİK organizasyonuyla gerçekleştirilen ve cumhurbaşkanı ile başbakanın da bulunduğu Polonya, Türkmenistan, Suudi Arabistan, Rusya Federasyonu, Tacikistan-Kırgızistan ve Çek Cumhuriyeti ziyaretlerine katılım sağlandı. Kültür turizmine destek TÜRSAB Kültür Turizmi Komitesi tarafından başlatılan ve yerel idareciler, turizmciler, halk ve basını bir araya getirerek kültür turizmi bilincinin yayılmasını amaçlayan sempozyumlar İstanbul, Kapadokya, Kuşadası, Şanlıurfa, Tarsus, Kastamonu, Van, İzmir, Mardin ve Gaziantep olmak üzere toplam on bölgede gerçekleştirildi. Yoğun ilgi gören bu etkinliğin diğer illerde de yapılması planlanıyor. 2010 da inanç turizmi TÜRSAB ın, 2010 Avrupa Kültür Başkenti Ajansı na sunduğu projelerden 2010 İstanbul İnanç Turizmi Zirvesi kabul edildi. Ekim 2010 da düzenlenecek söz konusu etkinlik için çalışmalar başladı. Tatil Herkesin Hakkı Bu yıl iç turizmi canlandırmak amacıyla Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, TÜRSAB, TÜROFED ve Türk Hava Yolları önderliğinde bir Erken Rezervasyon Baharı Kampanyası düzenlendi. TÜRSAB İç Turizm ve Tur Operatörleri Komitesi nin de katkılarıyla gerçekleştirilen kampanya, Tatil Herkesin Hakkı sloganıyla tanıtıldı. Yerli turistlere 4 Mayıs-8 Haziran 2009 tarihleri arasında erken rezervasyon yaptırmaları halinde yıl boyu avantajlı ödeme imkânları sağlayan Erken Rezervasyon Baharı, yabancı turistlerin daha uygun ödeme koşullarıyla seyahat ettiğine dair yaygın algıyı değiştirdi. Eskiler yenileniyor TÜRSAB, Türkiye nin çeşitli bölgelerindeki tarihi mekânların fiziki durum tespiti ve restorasyonu konusundaki çalışmalarını sürdürüyor. Kars ilindeki tarihi binalardan Aynalı Köşk ün restore edilmesi ve ek bir bina inşaatıyla yeniden hayata dönmesiyle ilgili olarak Kars Belediye Başkanlığı ile TÜRSAB arasında bir protokol imzalandı. Bu kapsamda ÇEKÜL Vakfı nca hazırlanıp Erzurum Koruma Kurulu ndan tasdik ettirilen projeyle başlatılan çalışmalar kısa süre içinde tamamlanacak. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, TÜRSAB ve ÇEKÜL arasında imzalanan işbirliği protokolü çerçevesinde ise Kaş, Aspendos, İznik ve Patara antik tiyatroları ile Patara meclis binasının belgeleme, fiziki durumu saptama çalışmalarına ilişkin incelemeler tamamlanarak raporlar Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı na teslim edildi. Yeni inşaatlar TÜRSAB ın da ortakları arasında bulunduğu KOMER A.Ş. tarafından başlatılan, 30 milyon ABD doları yatırım maliyetli ve 42 bin metrekare alan üzerinde toplam on bin kişi kapasiteli kongre merkezinin inşaatı Kuşadası nda devam ediyor. Aizonai antik kentinin yer aldığı Kütahya Çavdarhisar da da 42 odalı bir otel inşa ediliyor. Daha modern bir Arkeoloji Müzesi TÜRSAB ile Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı arasında 12 Şubat 2009 tarihinde, İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri için destekçilik, hizmet ve işbirliği içerikli bir anlaşma imzalandı. Söz konusu anlaşma İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri nin geliştirilmesi ve yeniden Topkapı Sarayı Dış Karakol Binası açılış töreni Topkapı Palace Outside Police Station Building inauguration ceremony TÜRSAB ın ülke turizmine kazandırdığı projeler hız kesmeden devam ediyor. Every day, new works are added to the projects already undertaken in the past years. Foundations are laid down, inaugurations are made by the Preservation Committee of Erzurum will finish soon. Within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed among the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, TÜRSAB and ÇEKÜL, the site inspections related to the documentation of the determination of physical state of Kaş, Aspendos, Iznik and Patara antique theatres and Patara Assembly Building wee finished and the reports were delivered to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. A hotel with 42 rooms is being constructed in Çavdarhisar, Kütahya where the antique city of Aizonai is situated. A much more modern Archaeology Museum A deal foreseeing support, service and cooperation was signed between TÜRSAB and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on February 12, 2009 for the İstanbul Archaeological Museums. The related deal targets to develop and restructure the İstanbul Archaeological Museums, to improve the physical conditions with scientific methods, to turn it to a model museum in conformity with the world standards and to increase the number of visitors. yapılandırılması, fiziki koşullarının bilimsel yöntemlerle iyileştirilmesi, dünya ölçeğinde örnek bir müze haline dönüştürülmesi ve ziyaretçi sayısının artırılmasını hedefliyor. İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri İstanbul Archaeological Museums Topkapı Sarayı Dış Karakol Binası açıldı Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı ve TÜRSAB işbirliğiyle restorasyonu tamamlanan Topkapı Sarayı Dış Karakol Binası faaliyete geçti. Restorasyon çalışması UKTAŞ ve TÜRSAB tarafından gerçekleştirilen binada yapılacak etkinliklerde Feriye Lokantası hizmet verecek. Yıldız da yemek keyfi Yıldız Porselen Restoranı ile çini ve porselen mağazalarının işletme hakkı, 9 Ocak 2009 tarihinde Başbakanlık Milli Saraylar Daire Başkanlığı ile imzalanan protokolle TÜRSAB a devredildi. Mağazalar ve restoranda gerekli onarım ve yenileme çalışmalarının gerçekleştirilmesiyle, 26 Mayıs 2009 tarihinden bu yana bu yeni mekânlar seyahat acentelerinin ve tüm İstanbul halkının hizmetine sunuldu. Haydi müzelere! Müzekart projesi, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı ile TÜRSAB arasında 18 Haziran 2008 tarihinde imzalanan protokolle hayata geçirildi. Vatandaşları müze ve örenyerlerimizi ziyaret etmeye özendirerek tarihi ve kültürel değerlerin geleceğe taşınmasını sağlamayı amaçlayan Müzekart, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı bünyesinde ziyarete açık bulunan üç yüzün üzerinde müze ve örenyerini bir yıl boyunca sınırsız ziyaret etme imkânı sunuyor. Topkapı Palace Outside Police Station Building was inaugurated The Topkapı Palace Outside Police Station Building restored thanks to the cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TÜRSAB was inaugurated. Feriye Restaurant will serve to the activities to be organised at the building whose restoration works were realised by UKTAŞ and TÜRSAB. Dinner pleasure at Yıldız The operation right of Yıldız Porcelain Restaurant and the stores of china and porcelain was handed over to TÜRSAB by a protocol signed with the Head of Prime Ministry National Palaces Department on January 9 th, 2009. With the realization of the necessary repair and restoration works at the stores and restaurant, these new venues were offered to the service of the travel agencies and people of İstanbul. on June 18, 2008 between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TÜRSAB. The museum card aiming at encouraging our citizens to visit the museums and ruins and thus, to carry the historical and cultural values into the future, offers the opportunity of unlimited and free of charge visits for one year to more than three hundred museums and ruins open to visits, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. TÜRSAB is in the education world The Private TÜRSAB İstanbul Anatolia Hotel and Tourism Vocational Lycee which started to receive students between 2004-2005 with the aim to provide the manpower of quality which the tourism-one of the essential sources of our country s economyneeds, yielded its first graduates this year. The whole thirteen students graduated from the school succeeded into admission to the university. Health tourism platform With the undertaking of the committee, a Health Tourism Platform of Turkey was set up by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Health and TÜRSAB. The platform including the representatives of the sector too, will conduct works to define the infrastructure needs of our country in the health tourism and to make up shortages, to develop the necessary policies and to be engaged in promotion activities based on a common decision. From the foundation to the liberation TÜRSAB Southern Marmara Regional Executive Committee and Bursa Special Provincial Administration initiate a new tour programme entitled from the Foundation to the Liberation. The travel will start from Söğüt and Bilecik where the Ottoman state was founded and will end in Çanakkale where the foundations of the Republic of Turkey were laid. Tanıtma Müşavirliği tarafından organize edilen İsrail workshop u da TÜRSAB ın destek ve katılımıyla gerçekleşti. Türk Hava Yolları nın famtrip kapsamında ülkemize getirdiği yabancı basın mensupları ve tur operatörlerinin organizasyonu ve workshop larında da TÜRSAB ın desteği devam ediyor. Sağlık Turizmi Platformu toplantısından bir görüntü A view from the Health Tourism Platform meeting Sağlık Turizmi Platformu Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, Sağlık Bakanlığı ve TÜRSAB tarafından bir Türkiye Sağlık Turizmi Platformu kuruldu. Sağlık turizmi sektör temsilcilerinin de içerisinde yer aldığı platform, ülkemizin sağlık turizmi alanında altyapı ihtiyaçlarının belirlenip eksiklerin giderilmesi, gerekli politikaların oluşturulması ve tanıtım faaliyetlerinin gerçekleştirilmesi yönünde çalışmalarını sürdürecek. Kuruluştan kurtuluşa TÜRSAB Güney Marmara Bölgesel Yürütme Kurulu ve Bursa İl Özel İdaresi, Kuruluştan Kurtuluşa adı altında yeni bir tur programı başlatıyor. Gezi Osmanlı Devleti nin kurulduğu Söğüt ve Bilecik ten başlayıp, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti nin temellerinin atıldığı Çanakkale de sonlanıyor. Workshop lar TÜRSAB, yurtdışında düzenlenen ve Birlik üyesi seyahat acenteleriyle söz konusu ülkenin turizm yetkililerini bir araya getiren etkinliklere devam ediyor. Geçtiğimiz dönem Travel Turkey İzmir Turizm Fuar ve Konferansı vesilesiyle on altı ülkeden gelen yaklaşık iki yüz tur operatörüyle İzmir de bir workshop düzenlendi. Bunun yanında, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, Tel Aviv Kültür ve Travel Turkey İzmir 2009 TÜRSAB, Hannover Messe International İstanbul ve İZFAŞ ortaklığıyla bu yıl üçüncü kez düzenlenecek Uluslararası Travel Turkey İzmir Turizm Fuar ve Konferansı, 10-13 Aralık 2009 tarihleri arasında, Uluslararası İzmir Fuar Alanında gerçekleşecek. Her yıl artan yerli ve yabancı ziyaretçi sayısıyla dikkat çeken fuar, 2008 yılında 324 katılımcıyla 35 ülkeden gelen 12.534 ziyaretçiyi bir araya getirmişti. Ülkemizin en eski fuarcılık kenti olmasının yanı sıra tarihi, doğal ve kültürel değerleriyle turizmin önemli adreslerinden biri olan İzmir de 10-13 Aralık 2009 tarihlerinde toplam dört holde düzenlenecek fuar için çalışmalar sürdürülüyor. Kültür yayınlarımız büyüyor TÜRSAB ın periyodik olarak yayımlanmakta olan aylık dergisi, hem sektör hem de sektör dışındaki okurları tarafından büyük bir takdirle izleniyor. Antalya ve İzmir tanıtım kitapları ile yayına başlayan TÜRSAB Kültür Yayınları Dizisi ise bu dönem üç değerli eser daha kazandı. Ayvalık tan Çanakkale ye Kuzey Ege, Bereketli Topraklar üzerinde Şanlıurfa ve İstanbul başlıklı kitaplar, Türkiye nin üç farklı bölgesindeki tarihi, kültürel ve turistik değerlerimizi muhteşem fotoğraflarla aktarıyor. Workshops TÜRSAB keeps going on with the activities held abroad and gathering the travel agencies which are members of the Association with the tourism officials of the related country. In the past term, a workshop was held in Izmir with about two hundred tour operators coming from sixteen countries for the Travel Turkey Izmir Tourism Fair and Conference. Besides that, the workshop in Israel organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Tel Aviv Culture and Promotion Board was realized with the support and participation of TÜRSAB. TÜRSAB keeps bringing its contribution to the organization and workshops of foreign press members and tour operators Turkish Airlines take to our country within the scope of fun trips. Travel Turkey Izmir 2009 The international Travel Turkey Izmir Tourism Fair and Conference which will be held for the third time this year through the partnership of TÜRSAB, Hannover Messe International İstanbul and IZFAŞ will be realized at the International Izmir Fair Area between December 10-13, 2009. The fair, attracting attention with the increasing number of local and foreign visitors each year, gathered 12.534 visitors from 35 countries with 324 participants in 2008. Besides its quality of being the oldest fair city of our country, Izmir is also one of the important addresses of the tourism with its historical, natural and cultural values and the works are ongoing for the fair to be held in four halls between December 10-13, 2009. Our culture publications grow The monthly magazine published periodically by TÜRSAB is appreciated by those engaged in the industry and the readers outside the industry too. TÜRSAB Culture Publication Series, initiated with the books related to Antalya and Izmir, had another three important books. The books entitled Ayvalık tan Çanakkale ye Kuzey Ege (The Northern Aegean from Ayvalık to Çanakkale), Bereketli Topraklar Üzerinde Şanlıurfa (On the Fertile Soils of Şanlıurfa) and İstanbul report our historical, cultural and touristic values in three different regions of Turkey with magnificent photos. 12 TÜRSAB DERGİ KASIM 2009

Dolmabahçe Sarayı ndaki Atatürk e ait odalar, müzenin belki de en çok ilgi toplayan bölümünü oluşturuyor. Özellikle Atatürk ün yaşama veda ettiği odanın önünde kalabalıklar hiç eksik olmuyor The rooms belonging to Atatürk at Dolmabahçe Palace are perhaps the divisions arousing the biggest interest. The crowds are always seen mainly before the room where Atatürk had passed away İstanbulluların kaçı, Dolmabahçe Sarayı nın önünden geçerken tarihin kokusunu alır acaba? Kaçı, sarayın tanık olduklarını zihninden geçirip Daha dün gibiymiş der. Gerçekten de dün gibi : Sarayda doğmuş ve onun muhteşem salonlarında gezip koridorlarında koşmuş son şehzade, Ertuğrul Osman, neredeyse daha dün hayata veda etti. Dolmabahçe nin ağırladığı son çocuklar ın sesleri de neredeyse daha dün gibi yankılanıyor. Üstelik o son çocuklardan Ömer ve Erdal İnönü hayata veda etti ama, kızkardeşleri Özden Toker hâlâ bizimle ve Dolmabahçe nin tarihi anlarını daha dün gibi hatırlıyor. Ve her 10 Kasım da, Atatürk ün odasındaki nöbetçi asker, acı haber daha dün gelmiş gibi gözyaşı döküyor. Tarihle bugün iç içe Dünya üzerinde pek az saray böylesine yoğun bir tarihe sahne olmuştur. Dünya üzerinde pek az saray bir ülkenin geçmişine ve bugününe böylesine damga vurmuştur. Atatürk ün odasında da Osmanlı dan Cumhuriyet e açılan kapıdan geçer. Tüm dünyayı etkileyen önderi, Atatürk ü, ardında bıraktığı izlerle daha iyi tanıma fırsatı bulur. İhtişamın öteki adı Dönemler açan, dönemler kapatan Dolmabahçe Sarayı, yaklaşık 150 yaşında. 1856 yılında, doldurulduğu için Dolmabahçe diye anılan alanda inşa edildi. Hem Osmanlı hem de Batı mimarisinden öğeler taşıyan sarayın yapımına, Abdülhalim Bey, Altunizade İsmail Zühtü Paşa, Garabet Balyan ve Nikoğos Balyan gibi önemli isimler imza attı. Bu güçlü mimar kadrosu, bir yanda ihtişamı uç noktalara vardırıp diğer yanda çağın bütün yeniliklerini kullanarak muzzam bir saray yarattı. How many of them remember what this palace witnessed and say as if it was yesterday. It is indeed as if it was yesterday : The last prince Ertugrul Osman, who was born in this palace and wandered in its magnificent halls and ran through its corridors, passed away virtually yesterday. The voices of last kids housed in Dolmabahce can still be heard as if it was yesterday. Although Omer and Erdal Inonu, who were among those last kids, passed away, their sister Ozden Toker is still among us and she remembers the historical moments in Dolmabahce as if they happened yesterday. Saltanat Merdiveni Dolmabahçe Sarayı, bugünkü anlatımla hiçbir masraftan ve fedakârlıktan kaçınılmadan inşa edilmişti. İhtişamı o dönemde Avrupa saraylarının bile gözde konularından biriydi. Hemen her köşesi, her odası ayrı bir özellik taşıyordu. Ama en çarpıcı mekânı, kuşkusuz Saltanat Merdiveni ydi. Zemini birinci kata bağlayan merdiven, Kristal Merdiven diye de bilinirdi; çünkü, üzerinde Baccara kristalinden dev bir avize salınırdı ve korkulukları da yine kesme Baccara kristallerinden oluşuyordu. O kristallerin parıltısıyla gözleri alan merdiven, Süfera Salonu na çıkardı. Adından da anlaşılacağı üzere, salon sefirleri, yani yabancı elçileri kabul için açılırdı. Merdivenin yarattığı etkiyi ikiye katlamak için olsa gerek, deniz ve kara tarafında asılı saatler de her saat başı Osmanlı marşlarını çalardı. Past and present interlaced Only a few palaces in the world witnessed such an intensive history. Only a few palaces in the world left such a mark on a country s past and present. More than one million visitors who visit Dolmabahce Palace every year witness this; they see veiled Ottoman women in one hall and Ottomans modernization struggle in the other. And in Ataturk s room, the visitors pass through a door that is opening to Republic from Ottoman. They have the chance to know Ataturk, the great leader who impressed the world, better with his reminiscences in his room. In other words magnificence Having opened and closed historical periods, Dolmabahce Palace is nearly 150 years old. In 1856, it was built on the area called Dolmabahce (Filled Garden) because it was filled with soil. Abdulhalim Beg, Altunizade Ismail Zuhtu Pasha, Garabet Balyan and Nikogus Balyan were among the important people who worked on architectural design of this palace, which has both Ottoman and European characteristics. This strong team of architects created a magnificent palace by giving it grandeur and using all innovations of the period in every way. The palace is composed of three parts: There is the Ceremonial Hall in the middle; and on its both sides there are Harem-i Humayun (sultan s harem), which may be called sultan s offical residence, and Mabeyn-i Humayun, where state works were handled.this palace with its three main parts was built on a 14,595 square-meter area. In its construction, stones from Marseilles and Trieste, wood from India and Africa and domestic materials were used.there were incredible numbers for our present day understanding in its architectural plan: 285 rooms, 43 halls, 6 balconies, 6 Turkish baths, 1427 windows and 25 doors in enormous sizes. Sovereignty Staircase dolmabahce Palace was built in a way that it can be described best in present words as they spared no costs. Its magnificence was a hobbyhorse even in the European palaces. Nearly each corner, each room had a distinct characteristic. However, the most stunning place in this palace was undoubtedly the Sovereignty Staircase. This staircase which ties the ground floor to the first floor was also known as the Crystal Staircase because there was a giant chandelier made from Baccarat crystal above the staircase, and the barriers of the staircase were also made from cut Baccarat crystal. The staircase with those dazzling crystals would lead to Sufera Salon (the Ambassadors Hall). As it can be inferred from its name, this hall used to be opened to host ambassadors. Probably with the intention to double the effect on the visitors created by the staircase, the clocks at the sea and the land sides used to ring Ottoman anthems hourly. Bu üç bölümlü saray, toplam 14 bin 595 metrekare alana kurulmuştu. İnşaatta Marsilya ve Trieste taşları, Hindistan ve Afrika ahşabı ile yerli malzemeler kullanılmıştı. Mimari planında da elbette yine günümüz ölçülerinde dudak uçuklatacak sayılar vardı: 285 oda, 43 salon, 6 balkon, 6 hamam, 1427 pencere ve devasa boyutlarda 25 kapı. V. Murat ve II. Abdülhamit izledi. Ne var ki, II. Abdülhamit güvenlik kaygısıyla Yıldız a geçince, Dolmabahçe sadece merasimler için kullanılan bir tür çalışma sarayı na dönüştü. Onun ölümünden sonra, V. Mehmet Reşat, hanedanı yeniden Dolmabahçe ye nakletmeye karar verdi. Saray, tadilatın ardından haremdeki kadınlarla, çocuklarla yeniden hayat buldu. Ancak o hayat uzun sürmedi. Önce İngiliz işgali, sonra Kurtuluş Savaşı ile sona gelindi. Son padişah VI. Mehmet Vahdettin, 1922 yılında saltanatın kaldırılması üzerine ülkeyi Dolmabahçe nin rıhtımından terk etti. Abdülmecit Efendi ise halife sıfatıyla yerleşip iki yıl kaldığı saraydan 1924 yılında hilafete son verilmesiyle ayrıldı. Ve saray tamamen boşaltıldı. Bu sessizlik günlerinin ardından, Dolmabahçe, 1927 yılından itibaren devlet konukevi gibi kullanıldı. Atatürk yabancı devlet başkanlarını, kralları orada ağırladı. Cumhuriyet kadroları, ülkenin geleceğinin inşa edildiği toplantıları orada gerçekleştirdi. 10 Kasım 1938, Dolmabahçe Sarayı için gerçek bir son oldu. Osmanlı devrini kapatan saray, Atatürk ün ölümüyle sadece bir müzeye dönüştü. There are 6 sultans in its background The first sultan in this magnificent palace was Abdulmecit, who also realized the opening ceremony in 7 June 1856. He was succeeded by Abdülaziz, Murad V. and Abdulhamid Atatürk ün yaşama veda ettiği oda The room where Atatürk passed away II. However, when Abdulhamid II. moved to Yıldız Palace due to safety concerns, Dolmabahce Palace turned into a kind of office palace. After he passed away, Mehmet Resat V decided to move the dynasty back to Dolmabahce Palace. Following the restorations, the palace revived with women and children in the harem. However, that life could not last long. First with the English occupation and than with the Turkish War of Independence, this dynasty life was terminated. The last sultan Mehmed Vahdeddin VI left the country from the Dolmabahce dock after the sovereignty was abolished in 1922. As for Abdulmecid Effendi, he moved to the palace as the caliph and left it after the caliphate was abolished in 1924. And then the palace was completely evacuated. After the days of solitude, Dolmabahce became state guest house as of the year 1927. Ataturk hosted foreing presidents and kings in this palace. Republican staff held meetings about the future of the country in this palace. 10 November 1938 was a real end for Dolmabahce Palace. The palace that witnessed the termination of Ottoman period turned into a mere museum after Ataturk passed away. Osmanlı döneminde gündüzleri padişahın çalışma odası, geceleri ise hazinedar kalfaların nöbet odası olan bu mekânda ilk dikkati çeken, sadelik. Bir Hereke halı, Fransız yapımı bir çalışma masası ile mütevazı oturma grubu, Atatürk ün seçimini sergiliyor ve aynı zamanda Osmanlı ile Cumhuriyet dönemleri arasındaki farkı vurguluyor. 10 Kasım 1938 günü Atatürk ün hayata veda ettiği yatak odasında ise zaman durmuş gibi. Karyolayı, Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü tarafından saraya armağan edilen ipek atlastan Türk bayrağı örtüyor. Yanı başındaki saat, sarayın pek çok yerindeki saatler gibi 9 u 5 geçe durdurulmuş. Duvarda Moskova Büyükelçiliği tarafından hediye edilmiş olan, Ayvazovski nin Dört Mevsim adlı tablosu asılı. Odanın fiziki özellikleri bundan ibaret. Manevi özelliği ise kelimelerin çok ötesinde ve 10 Kasım larda o odaya koşan binlerce kişinin gözlerinde, hatta gözyaşlarında saklı. That Room Ataturk used the rooms 69 and 71, both of which have sea view, in the Harem part of Dolmabahce Palace as his study room and bedroom. The first thing that appeals to the eye in these rooms which had been in use as the study room of sultan during daytime and the sentry post for the treasure guards at night during Ottoman period is the simplicity their simplicity. A Hereke carpet, a French made study desk and a humble seating group reveal Ataturk s taste. And they also emphasize the difference between the Ottoman and the Republican periods. As for the bedroom in which Ataturk passed away on 10 November 1938, it feels like the time has stopped there. The bed is covered with a silk Turkish flag presented by Olgunlasma Institute to the palace. The clock on the bedside was stopped at five past nine like many other clocks in the palace. There is a painting hanged on the wall named Four Seasons by Aivazovsky, which was presented by Russian Embassy. The room is as plain as explained above in terms of its physical appearance. As for its spiritual characteristics, it is beyond words; it is hidden in the eyes and even in the tears of thousands of people who enthusiastically visit that room on every November 10.
