2-STATE HYDRAULIC WORKS-DSI Created in 1954. Then it was absorbed by Ministry for Forestry and Water in 2011 It has 26 regional directorates Responsible for water and wastewater services The Irrigation Master Plan-World Bank (1991) Irrigation Management Transfer (IMT) was initiated 2 million hectares were transfereed to WUAs

WATER INFRASTRUCTURE MARKET DSI is the main investment body for water infrastructure Funding sources: Turkish government, EU funds, international organizations, foreign countries. Investment plans by government: 2 billion a year Wastewater plants is another vital area of infrastructure projects

MAJOR WATER DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS Southeastern Anatolian Project (GAP)
MAJOR WATER DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS Konya Plain Project (KOP) To be completedby the end of 2019 1.1 million hectares of soil will be irrigated, 164 million m3 water will be supplied for domestic and indusrtrial needs, 3 billion kilowatt/hours of energy will be produced once KOP will be fully completed The project is comprised of 14 irrigation, three potable water and one energy investments
