Students will encounter various views on liberalism, conservatism, socialism, nationalism, anarchism, fascism, feminism, ecologism, religious fundamentalism, and multiculturalism. Additionally, each lecture will provide students with perspectives from Turkish political thought. At the end of each lecture, there will be a Q&A session during which critical thinking and current and historical examples from Turkey and elsewhere are strongly encouraged. Learning Outcomes Demonstrate an understanding of the central themes of liberalism, conservatism, socialism, nationalism, anarchism, fascism, feminism, ecologism, religious fundamentalism, and multiculturalism.
