Basic Information General Directorate of National Immovables is one of the Ministry s main service units. General Directorate has both central and provincial organization. Total number of employees is 4.062 (3745 being employed in provincial organization, 317 being employed in central organization) Public immovables in Turkey are managed by the General Directorate of National Immovables.
I. Strategic Policies (a) Mission Managing State properties, determining management principals concerning public properties and immovables owned by public agencies and institutions. I. Strategic Policies (b) General Directorate of National Immovables is responsible for the effective management of State-owned immovables and supporting economic and social targets. General Directorate plays an important role in below mentioned issues also through the collaboration with other public administrations: Eliminating economic and social differences among regions, Ensuring sustainable development, Preventing unplanned urbanization, resolving housing problem, protecting cultural and natural assets, Fighting against erosion and supporting forestation, Promoting investment and employment.

IV. Operational Level Efforts will be made to reduce the problems due to legislative and decision making processes while performing operations. They also cause loss of time and inadequate implementation of efficiency and effectiveness principles during the acquisition of immovables. Resources Amount of the appropriation allocated in 2011 for the implementation of the activities of the General Directorate of National Immovables is 170 million 902 thousand TL.
Monitoring and Evaluation Indicators will be monitored quarterly in electronic system. Evaluation report will be shared with the public at the beginning (January) of the following year.
