Before the Wall After sketching and drawing different methods and some collage technic, the project started itself in a different and interesting way. In this page it can be seen how project starts itself with those techincs. The basic idea is starting a design with irrelevant technics and give those technics a purpose. And also, the name of project Before the Wall is coming from a real wall from second project. Purpose is designing the landscape before that wall. El çizimi ve teknik çizimler eşliğinde bazı metodlar ve kolaj tekniği ile proje kendisini başlatır. Bu sayfada projenin sözü geçen tekniklerle başlangıcı görülmektedir. Temel fikir, dizayna alakasız teknikler ile başlamak ve kullanılan tekniklere amaç vermektir. Ayrıca projenin ismi ikinci projedeki varolan duvardan gelmektedir. Amaç duvardan önceki peyzajın dizaynıdır. Starting with Section from a Memory About a bad or a good memory we choose, five sections of that place in that memory are drawn. Only the relations betweet spaces are drawn. No details are included. Seçilen iyi veya kötü bir anıyı seçtikten sonra, anının geçtiği ortamın beş adet kesiti çizilir. Kesitte sadece mekanlar arasındaki ilişki çizilir. Başka detay içermez. After Memory Sections Axonometric Drawing of Sections After drawing five sections of a memory, an axonometric drawing is drawn by using those five section together and combined by random choose. Scale and coloring is same with other. Seçilen anının beş adet kesitinden sonra, bu kesitleri hep beraber rastgele kombine edip, axonometrik çizimi yapılır. Renklendirme ve ölçek kesitlerle aynıdır. Before the Law Reading and Axonometric Drawing of Story After sections and axonometric drawing of memory, there is one more axonometric drawing of a reading called Before the Law. Axonometric drawing comes from our imagine. Kesit ve axonometrik çizim sonrasında son bir çizim olarak Before the Law isimli hikaye ile ilgili bir axonometrik çizim yapılır. Bu çizim tamamen bizim hayal gücümüzden gelir. 1 After taking photos in the faculity building, creating a collage with repatitive and mirrored photos, something interesting comes out of it. Photo Collage for The Faculity Building Fakülte içerisinde fotoğraf çekimi yaptıktan sonra, yansıtma ve tekrar ederek kolaj yapılır ve bu çalışma farklı bir eser yaratır. Drawing these and printing collage on tracing paper gives a good adventage for creating a plan by putting them on top of each other. Çizimleri ve kolaj çalışmasını aydinger kağıdı üzerinde yapmak projenin gidişatı için önemli bir avantaj sağlıyor. Her kağıdı üst üste koyarak yeni bir plan çıkarılabilir hale geliyor.
After many different plan options, the best idea is chosen to be final plan and it is handmade with color rendering. After deciding final plan, the model was made by simple and same kind of materials like corugated cardboard, grey cardboard, etc. Birden fala plan opsiyonları sonrası, en iyi fikir final planı olarak seçildi ve plan çizimi el ile çizilerek kuru boyalar ile renklendirildi. Final planına karar verildikten sonra, model aynı karakterde basit materyallerden yapıldı. Oluklu karton, mukavva gibi malzemeler. After deciding which tree where, how are the locations and creating different spaces with them, the best location for a whole site section was drawn with same technic like the plan. The path used to make a continious sense with other students projects. That is why it always starts and ends with same location but design is different. From kit of parts list, the wall, frame, etc. was chosen to create a monument kind and gives a sense of different landscaping from usual garden ideas. Trees, edges, etc. creates different spaces and divides spaces. In normal life we can see it in parks, etc. We don t need walls to seperate spaces. Vertical Site Section Continious Path Kit of Parts Trees, Edges, Posts, etc. Hangi ağacın nerede olduğu, lokasyonların nereler ve farklı mekanlar oluşturduktan sonra, en iyi kesit lokasyonu seçilip çizilir ve plan ile aynı çizim tekniği kullanılır. Patika diğer öğrencilerin projesi ile birlikte devamlılık etkisi vermek için her projede aynı lokasyonda başlayıp aynı yerde biter fakat dizaynı farklıdır. Kit of parts listesindeki duvar, çerçeve gibi elementler sayesinde anıta benzer bir yapı oluşur ve alışılmışın dışında bir peyzaj çalışması ortaya çıkar. Ağaçlar, çalılar farklı mekanlar oluşturur ve mekanları birbirinden ayırır. Normal yaşamda park gibi yerlerde görebiliriz. Mekanları bölmek için duvarlara gerek yoktur. 2
T-House After first project Before the Wall, second one is continious of that one. Creating places shared and private, connecting them and seperating those places with same elements like trees, edges, etc.and also the actual wall. İlk projenin ardından bu proje devam oluşturur. Paylaşılan ve özel alanlar oluşturma ve bu alanları ağaçlar ve benzeri elementlerle birbirine bağlayıp ayırma ve ayrıca ilk projede sözü geçen duvarı oluşturmak. Drawing a composition from first project the wall was casted and poshe sections made from wall elements. By poshe sections, T-House study begins with playing it. Quick Process İlk proje ile kompozisyon çizilir ve duvar hazırlanır. Duvar elementleriyle poshe kesitleri hazırlanır ve bu kesitlerle T-House çalışması başlar. After processing every data we have, designing spaces and connecting them with their meaning by landscaping is finalizing the project Elde edilen her bilgiyi işlemden geçirdikten sonra peyzaj yarıdımı ile mekanların tasarımı ve birbirine bağlanması projenin sonuçlanmasına götürür. Office Design This project is not about design, it is about how to detail a designed project. Detailing a simple office design was the aim of this project and also it was a group project so students can learn how to work as a team. Bu proje dizayn için değil, belirli bir dizaynın detaylandırılması ile ilgilidir. Basitçe dizayn edilmiş bir ofisin detaylandırılması amaçlanmıştır ve proje grup çalışmasıyla yapılmıştır, böylece öğrenciler takım çalışmasını öğrenmektedir. The site where project is located has 3 meters slope. So designing site with that slope is first decision. Building a site wall with different level of stages was chosen on this project. Help of site wall the natural slope of site can be used without excavating any space besides the building settlement. Projenin bulunduğu arsa 3 metre eğime sahiptir. Bu yüzden Arsanın genel tasarımı ilk kararlaştırıldı. Aşamalı bir çevre duvarı bu projede uygulanmıştır. Çevre duvarı arsanın doğal eğimini kaybetmeden kullanımına yardımcı olmuştur. Sadece binanın bulunduğu kısımda hafriyat yapılmıştır. 5
Frunishing Details Detailed Floor Plan In every drawing step by step, the project is getting more detailed and more specific. Every process should be like in real life manufacturing, so there should be some reference books for study and draw these details. Her çizimde kademe kademe, proje daha da detaylanıp daha da belirgin oluyor. Her aşama gerçek hayattaki imalatlara uygun olması gerekir. Bu yüzden bazı referans kitaplarını çalışıp projede uygulamak gerekir. Roof Detail Foundation Detail Elevation 6
Digital Fabrication Workshop For Architectural Studio Course, Raffi Tomassian and Nicholas Germann,from USA, came for a workshop which is about digital fabricating by softwares. There were two options for students, Rhino or Revit. Our group was in Revit part. We Learned a few thing about software and we made our fabrication process by this software. The aim was learning how to design and fabricate that design digitally. Mimari Stüdyo Dersi için düzenlenen atolye çalışmasına Amerika dan gelen Raffi Tomassian ve Nicholas Germann dijital fabrikasyon çalışmasına katıldılar. Öğrenciler için Rhino veya Revit programı sunuldu. Bizim grubumuz Revit ile çalışma imkanı buldu ve öğrendiğimiz bilgilerle fabrikasyon aşamasını dijital olarak gerçekleştirdik.
