Bio Feyza Darendeliler, Feyza Darendeliler, M.D. is a Professor in Pediatric Endocrinology, Department of Pediatrics, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey. She is the head of the Pediatric Endocrinology Unit since 2007 and has acted as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics between 2011-2014 and is currently the Vice-Dean in the same Faculty. She has worked in the Middlesex Hospital in London UK for a year as a research fellow in 1989-90. Dr. Darendeliler served as a Council member in ESPE in 2009-12. She is currently the chair of the Accreditation and Syllabus Subcommittee of ESPE and editor of the ESPE Newsletter. She is a member of the Sabbatical Leave Program of ESPE. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Research in Pediatric Endocrinology (in PubMed since 2011). Major clinical and research interests include growth and puberty, growth hormone disorders and growth hormone treatment, and pubertal disorders and DSD. Dr. Darendeliler is a member of the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), Endocrine Society and International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and also National Pediatric Endocrine Society in Turkey (President since December 2012). She is also the vice president of the Turkish Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Society for 3 years. She had been a member of the KIGS Strategic Advisory Board for 5 years (2005-8). Dr Darendeliler has several papers published in international journals with citations around 800. She has been author in chapters in national and international books. She has been the editor of books published in Turkish.
