Ders çeşitli dilbilgisi kuralları ve dil becerilerine yönelik etkinlikler içeren tematik ünitelere bölünmüştür. Her hafta işlenecek ders saatleri tüm Dersin etkinliklerin ilişkilendirildiği belirli bir bağlamda odaklanmaktadır. Bu odak noktaları Tanımı iletişimin farklı yönleri için bir temel oluşturmaktadır. Hedef dil temel düzeyde öğretildiği için dersin ana amacı öğrencilerin yazılı ve sözlü olarak İngiliz dilinde iletişim kurmalarını sağlamak için onlara İngiliz dilinin ana hatlarını sunmaktır. Bu dersin sonunda öğrencilerin İngilizce dilinin temel yapısını hem metinsel hem de iletişimsel düzeyde kavrayabilmeleri amaçlanmaktadır. Bu kavrayış ile kendilerine verilen Dersin Amacı temel düzeyde İngilizce veriyi analiz edebilecek ve bu veriye doğru biçimde yanıt verebilecek olan öğrencilere hedef dili gerçek yaşam durumlarında kullanabilme becerisinin kazandırılması hedeflenmektedir. Öğrenciler İngiliz dilinin temel yapısına ilişkin farkındalık kazanacak ve bu kazanımlarını Hedeflenen İngiliz Dili nde yapılacak daha sonraki çalışmalarına aktaracaklardır. Özge Erdem ozgeerdm@gmail.com English Compulsory Prerequisites No prerequisites Description Objectives Learning Outcomes Course Outline This course is organised to provide the students with the fundamental structure of English grammar and language skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) at elementary level. The course is divided into thematic units containing activities on grammar and different language skills. Every week has a contextual focus these focuses provide a basis for different aspects of communication- around which all activities are centred. As the target language is taught at elementary level, the main aim of this course is to give the basic outlines of English language so that the students can communicate both in oral and written English. At the end of the semester it is aimed that the students will be able to comprehend the basic structure of English language both at textual and communicational level. Through this comprehension they will be able to analyse the given data in English at elementary level. Being able to respond to the given data, they will use this basic knowledge and ability of English language skills appropriately within authentic situations. The students will gain awareness in fundamental English language skills and transfer their competence into their further studies in this field.
