iv Genel Matematiksel Kavramlar Öğrenme Süreçleri ve Öğretim Yaklaşımları ÖNSÖZ Matematik öğrenen sevgili öğrencilerimiz, matematik öğreten değerli öğretmenlerimiz ve matematik öğretecek öğretmen adaylarımız, Bu kitapta tek değişkenli fonksiyonlar üzerine kurulan genel matematiksel kavramlar yapılandırmacı bir anlayışla ele alınmıştır. Kitapta kavramların yapılandırılması sürecinde ilişkisel öğrenmenin desteklenmesi amacı ile işlemsel örneklerin yanı sıra kavramı mümkün olan çeşitli sınıf düzeylerinde ve çeşitli bağlamlarda yansıtan günlük yaşam problemlerine yer verilmiştir. Kitapta matematiksel bilgilerin yanı sıra, matematiksel kavramların öğrenilme sürecine, kavram yanılgılarına, öğrenci güçlüklerine ve öğretim stratejilerine de alan yazındaki bazı temel kaynaklar referans alınarak yer verilmiştir. Matematik öğrenen öğrenciler için bu bölümler onlara, sahip olabilecekleri kavram yanılgıları, güçlükler ve bunların nedenleri hakkında farkındalık kazandıracak, öğrenmelerini kontrol etmeleri için destekleyecektir. Kavramların pedagojik yönlerine ilişkin bu bölümlerin öğretenler için ise önemi büyüktür. Matematiksel kavramların yapılandırmacı yaklaşım ışığı altında desenlenecek öğretimi, kavramın zihindeki öğrenilme sürecini yansıtmalıdır. Nitekim en genel itibari ile yapılandırmacı yaklaşım, Piaget in öğrenme teorisine dayanır. Dolayısı ile öğretenlerin ve öğretecek olanların kavramların öğrenilme sürecini en genel hatları ile de olsa bilmelerinin gerekliliği ortadadır. Bunun yanı sıra kavramların epistemolojik özelliklerinden kaynaklanan, alan yazına kaydedilmiş öğrenci güçlük ve yanılgılarını bilmek ise öğrenme ortamında bunların teşhisini ve giderilmesini kolaylaştırır. Kavramlara ilişkin öğretim için ise kitaptaki en iyi rehber kavramların kitaptaki yapılandırılma biçimidir. Bunun yanı sıra kavramların öğretimine ilişkin alan yazına kaydedilmiş en temel stratejiler yine pedagojik yönlere ilişkin bölümlerde verilmiştir. Ayrıca kavramların kitaptaki yapılandırılması sürecinde yapılan uyarılar, kavramın epistemolojisi dolayısıyla sıkça rastlanan kavram yanılgılarının oluşması olasılığına karşı eklenen dikkat çekmeleri içermektedir. Sonuç olarak bu kitap, matematik eğitiminde uzmanlık eğitimi almakta olan lisansüstü öğrencileri için bir el kitabı, ortaöğretim matematik öğretmenleri için bir kaynak kitap, ortaöğretim ve ilköğretim matematik öğretmen adayları için genel matematik ya da analiz I ve ortaöğretimde özel öğretim yöntemleri gibi derslerde yardımcı bir kaynak olabilecektir.
